Titan Cylinders Fully Emptying?

Apologies in advance for a bit of a duplicate of my below question - I pasted this into another thread but wanted to put this as a stand alone question to hopefully get the attention of guys in the same boat or who know something about this, firsthand, and can offer solid advice.

I previously detailed in another thread here the crazy difficulty I initially had with my new Titan deflate valve and process. Nightmarish for me due to the orientation of how the valve is hanging, just very difficult initially to

1. even find the right places to push, just a squishy mystery where the hell things are at in there, and
2. to grasp the buttons, once found, with confidence and with sufficient pressure to activate the transferrance of fluid into the reservoir.

Both of these things were impacted and exacerbated by my squeamishness about fishing around in my sac and the fact that my sac, though I thought it was fine, was in fact at week 4 post-op still significantly full of edema which limited the bulb/valve's ability and space to hang a bit more freely for exploration and access.

I'm past week 7 here and I've only had this shit figured out for a week now. Inflate up, easy. Deflate...I definitely learned how to do it myself finally, yay me, I can do it easily now that the swelling must be mostly resolved.

Question:
One thing I am experiencing...when I deflate, I pinch both sides of the deflate apparatus hard and I know they (Coloplast and my surgeon/PA) say that you are supposed to depress the buttons for 2-3 seconds, this opens the valve, and then you can release the pressure off the valve and proceed to "gently" squeeze your dick and push the fluid back up into the reservoir. Not entirely my experience.

I hit the buttons for several seconds, sometimes 5, 8 seconds, whatever...and upon squeezing my dick I get a deflation which is something like going from 100% inflated down to...I don't know...50-60% inflated. I wait a moment, then I depress the deflate buttons again for several seconds. I squeeze my dick. Then, I am able to squeeze it down from the 50-60% deflation range to maybe 30% or something approximating that. In the end, I'm not really entirely convinced that I am getting the cylinders fully emptied. Maybe I am, and I'm just experiencing and needing to get used to the rigidity and fullness of these cylinders even if they are in fact fully emptied. Maybe? I am leery of squeezing any harder to empty my dick than I am already squeezing. When I went into clinic with my panic-emergency-I-can't-deflate-my-dick dilemma, the urology fellow there, who was very familiar with implantation and who is learning from my guy, Levine, squeezed my dick so hard it felt like a fucking truck had rolled over it. But it did seem more loosely flaccid and more empty than I seem to be able to get it myself now. Coloplast's instructions clearly state: "GENTLY". I'm guessing for a damn good reason the manufacturer is stating this.

Thoughts, guys?

I have zero interest in damaging the hardware in my body and having something break. Like...zero. Appreciate any of your experiences and feedback. My important caveat to all this is that my inflate/deflate experience is barely a week old - I have plenty to learn and figure out!

With my AMS, since it's so shallow in the crus, I can feel the hard plastic not only under the glans but at the base of my penis. When I squeeze the saline out of mine, I sometimes squeeze too hard or in the wrong place and get a bit of pain when I hit the hard plastic area. It doesn't hurt for long but does ache a little while. I try to get every last drop out of mine, which unfortunately leaves me with two balloon animal balloons in my penis that I can feel flat and folded.

I have heard that in most cases with a properly installed implant that has the 2:1 ratio of distal to proximal length, squeezing the penis may only be part of the deflation process, as there is still saline in the proximal part of the implant (in the perineum). Someone here even mentioned that they were instructed to put pressure on their perineum while deflating.

As to the pump giving only partial deflation, since I don't have a Titan I can't say for sure, but it may be that the valve is not being fully activated and slips back into the inflate position due to reservoir pressure between squeezes. That could explain why you have to squeeze the valve again to get more deflation. You might try if possible, squeezing the valve with one hand and squeeze your dick with the other, while the valve is being operated.

I think that may be part of it, what you mentioned, about one hand on valve and other hand squeezing dick out. I've got an odd two handed approach to the deflate buttons at this point. I was just fucking desperate to find an angle that worked, and it ended up being one finger from each hand on the buttons. Then squeeze dick. Maybe I will find more success once I can master one hand on valve.

This is very helpful being too early to inflate. I too wonder how much the titan deflates. Are the cylinders that ridged that I haves an erection 24/7? I can feel the deflate bar on the front of the pump today. Not the other side yet. As my swelling goes down I noticed when I sit I feel the pump which is sore. Can the titan inflate by siting . I mean if you depress the bulb once or twice will it inflate ? I have no idea because not at that point. Just I could have penetrative sex without any inflation 9 days postop. ?

Look at the sample pump you got before your surgery, the deflate valve button(s) is only on one side, it's a small circle on top of larger circle on the one round side of the block above the pump

Hi Biker,

You won't inflate your Titan by sitting on it. Definitely not. The pump bulb requires a quite firm and quite specific motion to engage the fluid transfer. When you inflate it'll be purposely. Yes, one or two pumps will transfer fluid and you'll actually probably feel the fluid moving. It's an odd sensation but kind of cool, I think, in that it serves to confirm when you're getting at the end of max filling of cylinders.

My (again, extremely limited exposure) experience is that my Titan cylinders are quite rigid. I definitely am having much the same experience others seem to have, in that it's common to walk around with what I can only call a substantial semi-hardon. As I type this, I woke up and my dick is absolutely semi-rigid enough to do plenty of things. With some lube I could easily penetrate my wife vaginally and we could fuck without me pumping up. Having said that...I also believe I am likely not fully emptying these cylinders. That's apparently on me to continue to better figure this all out. I think I have residual fluid in the cylinders for sure.

Now, having said that...your other question goes directly to an experience we had. We had sex several times on day 20 post op and shortly afterward. Keep in mind, I was sent home from surgery 100% deflated, per my surgeon's protocol, and still, with everything going on down there, just the deflated Titan cylinders allowed penetration successfully. It's sort of crazy. It was a close call. She's very tight. But we accomplished this with a bit of lube and a slow patient motion. It was odd in the sense of being inside her and my dick being so entirely different feeling and different in dimensions...but we were starved as hell and desperate animals and we enjoyed it.

Full scale inaugural test drive with Titan in the next couple days once the kids head back to university and we're empty nesters again....

For letting me know I am not nuts and this seems to be a common thing. I do understand now, my penis can not be flaccid in it state. Loosing 3 inches to PD, left scare tissue that is being boosted by the stiff cylinders. But I can tell that I wake with a modified woody in the am. My penis will become straight and swell (thats the goal of reversing PD). Latter, it will lean to the left like it did prior to surgery. It no longer points up 90+ degrees. So, its day 10, pump is more sore as swelling is decreased around it. Penis skin is relaxing and not as tight as it was post op. Peeing is still and adventure, getting out daily went to the mens room without a urinal. Completely overshot the toilet, with this perm erection. But everyday is a new change. Glad to here you can the Mrs can reverse time. Amazing the possibilities.

You're going to do great. I was about in fucking tears when I couldn't deflate myself after my first at home inflation. So mentally exhausting and just ate away at my sense of self and confidence.

But only briefly. I think it's just about how intense the motivation is to get back in the saddle. There's stuff going on with my body now that it was initially difficult to even comprehend and believe. But each day is a little bit closer to some kind of new normal, for sure. Exciting as hell.

just bumping this thread back open because i'm wondering if anyone else had any feedback on my original question? would be grateful to hear of others' experiences getting this lovely Titan fully deflated (or, more deflated than I'm seemingly able to figure out).

I still seem to be struggling with getting it deflated past the point where i'm estimating it's about 1/3 still inflated. thanks again for anything anyone can share from their (more-extensive-than-mine) experiences. i'm fully expecting this to be a user error/user experience issue, but would really value the input of those who know.

well of course now day 11 or 10 post op, most things have subsided. However, I am starting to think that my cylinders are not fully empty. But then again, I dont have much penis weight to point anything down. I am seeing the surgeon in Friday for a 2 weeks follow with him. Saw his Pa twice and one had to call him to ask a question about the non flaccid state. This am, I woke with a piss hard woody. Pointing straight up and hard. Pissed, and a half hour left, it leaning to the left, like before. So, I am thinking I am having blood flow like in the old days. Even with PD, it would wake to a raging bend penis trying to bend into my stomach if it could. So I know the cylinders are stiff and penis will stay that way until i cycle or, this is my new norm. Either way, I had a plication so, that could be a factor as well. I think the plication was to keep the penis from bending up. So that may prevent it from bending down.
