Sleeping 1st few days Post-Op? Bed or Recliner?
Was curious how you found sleeping your 1st few days from surgery? I’ve read where some have said sleep in a recliner,& others saying in the bed with a pillow between your legs?

Bailey: I would say whatever is most comfortable. You will be 50 to 70% inflated, also swollen and sore. I started in the recliner and was having trouble getting uninterrupted sleep, so I shifted to the bed. Pretty much you need to sleep on your back, or at most your side. I don't think there is a stock answer. Whatever works.

I was told to lay flat on my back to keep as little blood pooling in my crotch for the first week. I could not even think about sitting period that first week. I also had very little pain and only took the painkillers for first 2 days. I did use a pillow though. That was only thing above the level of my crotch first week. Binge watched a lot of Netflix. Frozen peas were also my new best friend. 2 bags. One thaws, back to freezer and grab other one.
Ask your doc what he suggests for that first week.

I used a blowup mattress was lower to the floor easier to roll off of without the strain of standing up. Just make it a king I used a twin bad idea.

well I’m on day 2 and sleeping very poorly mainly coming from a swollen ball bag oxycodeine does nothing for me I used a pillow between my legs. Really only relief i got was from my thc vape pen it at least got me a couple of hours sleep. I find the oxy seems to keep me up all night anyway so I have to find an alternative pain med

I slept with a pillow between my legs because I always sleep on my side. Go with whatever is most comfortable for you.

ABSOLUTELY. In a recliner takes all of the blood in most of your organs and pools it right at your pelvis. On the other hand, sleep is very important to the healing process so whatever works, but flat if you can help it.

On your back, 3 fluffy pillows to elevate your legs. Aren't you all bandaged up and/or sore? 1st week for me, definitely on my back with legs elevated, had no problems sleeping. Fired my 4-legged nurse when his paw found my implant! Now I have a little pissant chihuahua that I can handle if I just turn away.

I had to sleep in the recliner.
I don't remember the reason why.
I had no swelling problems though.

I had no trouble sleeping. My solution was wearing a jock strap. It kept my dick upright, and my balls well supported. Even sleeping on my side was no problem. I pretty much wore a jock 24 hours a day for about 3 weeks following surgery, and think it helped reduce my pain level.
