Issue on accessing the Website

Postby lewvino » Fri Aug 07, 2009 8:15 am

When I come to the website and go to the discussion forums I've been having trouble accessing it a 2nd time. It will allow me to click on discussion forums but always takes me back to the home page. After about 2-3 hours it clears up and then lets me back in to the actual discussion forum. I've tried from two different computers and at different times of the day and it always behaves like this.

Is this a bug? Or is there a set limit on how often one can get to the disuccusion forum?

THanks,
Larry

I've had the same issues. Not sure why but did ask Admin about it...I'm sure they'll get it sorted out. Start-up glitches?

Guys
I have sent the company who hosts/designs/and supports the website your comments. THANK YOU. What I don't know about this website stuff... I'm really fortunate to have a great small company taking care of this for us. they are two great guys who have some great ideas themselves for site content and stuff.
As you said, it is probably start up glitches and getting the kinks out. I have not really pushed advertising this site yet due to the start up learning curve. I will be adding videos and pages soon.
thanks
Paul

Not having problems getting on website but I have tried posting replys that for some reason don't show up.
I not sure what the reason is for this but I guess once all of the bugs are worked out this could be a great web site for all the
guys like us. How great of an idea was this web site for guys with prostate cancer and all the issues that
go with this damm disease to be able to go on a hear from guys who have so much in common.
Looking forward to seeing much more info and ideas on subjects that hit close to home for all of us.

I am able to logout, but each time I login, I am not allowed to participate in chat. I am considered Guest_101. I have tried logging out and back in several times, but still no chat.

For some reason, there is a clash between the Flash program and some of the cookies on personal computers. This has happened to me too. The best thing to do, is close your Internet browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer) and then re-launch them. Open FrankTalk again, log in on the discussion page and go to chat. That usually works. If that fails, the next thing is to re-boot your computer. We are on our way to getting new chat program with many more bells and whistles.
Thanks
Paul

I have noticed when I post my posting do not show up unless I go to the control panel and say "Show my Posts". I was wondering at one point why no one replied to one of my threads, but when I entered via forum it only showed up to a certain day in that thread. I then went to the control panel and viola! I had a lot of replies but could only access them that way. I still have the problems. My post do not show up for me when i go to discussion-> then a forum.

I am ready to give up on this site and that would be a tragedy because I love the information and people here. But I cannot find my post have the time. I will post a message and it does not show up in the forum. I have to go to the User Control Panel and find my post and even then sometimes they display and sometimes they do not. Even if I get to the postings, most of the time it only shows old responses and I have to play and play to get the new responses.

I have tried different computer and I have used Chrome, FireFox and IE... all have the same problem. Anyone know a solution... it is getting too frustrating now.

Shadow,

For the longest time I had those symptoms ( only older posts visible) when using Chrome.

But, just tried it again now and Chrome is working normally. That said tho, the laptop I am using now is completely new from the old one that had that problem. (just tried my older home PC with Chrome and
that works OK now also).

IE8 was what I had used instead .. and i tried FireFox 4 (latest) and that is fine.

Try some updates?? Yeah it was frustrating when it happens.
