I had a similar issue for about 3-4 days. I did stool softeners, Magnesium Citrate as a laxative, and finally an enema broke things loose. 10 days is a really long time, the last thing you'd need right now is a bowel perforation. Do the enema, if it doesn't work do a second one.

If you are pain free stop all painkillers and take laxatives immediately. I agree that magnesium usually helps to make bowel movements, in my experience when i take more than 500mg magnesium it makes me want to go to the bathroom.
