Is this doctor good enough for implant surgery?

I’m just a layman going off my own research and what I’ve been told by others, so I could be off on any or all of what I said. The rigidity may just be a matter of a broomstick vs. an iron rod. I know my Titan fully inflated is ridiculously hard, to the point that if seems it would be uncomfortable to both partners, and if an LGX is even 80% of that it’s more than adequate for any human endeavors.

I do think the lengthwise expansion is kind of marketing though…if it was really stretching the length out significantly it would be causing erosion issues. Now it certainly might help create a more natural flaccid by being undersized when deflated and then expanding to fill the tunica when inflated.

Again, I’m not an expert and likely talking out of my ass.

I would also contact the insurance company to check if these CPT codes are covered by your plan.

Whelp, it's done. Both CPTs are NOT covered under my plan. Hooray. Better start preparing myself psychologically to drop $20k on this.

She said "the doctor can submit a predetermination request for further review" but I have no idea the success rate on that.

That sucks... IF going out of pocket, definitely make sure you get a high volume surgeon.

Elbow, From what I've read the Titan is definitely the most rigid implant available. I'm assuming that's why it seems to be the most common choice for larger penises, apart from having a broader range of sizes. Simple physics I guess. Heavier, longer shaft needs better support for sustained penetration.
I think the LGX cylinders themselves probably can expand to whatever is claimed, but they can't expand anyone's dick beyond its natural maximum size. The more I've cycled the deeper into the glans the tips have become, and they are now very far in. Which probably means that I'm at or close to my limit, so I'm mindful not to overdo it and risk any erosion. Strangely, fully bone pressed I now appear to be visually longer flaccid than erect. But I have some curvature when erect, and girth has started to thicken at the base, which confuses things.

The LGX seems to be something of a workhorse for those of us with average sized dicks, especially those who have suffered some level of atrophy after PC/prostatectomy and consequent ED. I had a bit over 6 inches originally, as best as I can recall, and definitely lost some size after my RP.

I assume the doctor will measure me for size and best match me to either AMS or Titan. Is this what the doctor did for you for your implant?

We had discussions pre op about which implant would suit me best. My doc does AMS and Rigicon. I don't know if he also does the Coloplast Titan as he hasn't mentioned them to me. With the sizing he told me he would dilate and measure me on the operating table to get the correct size.

Post implant I'm well above 6 inches after many months of cycling. Substantially bigger flaccid than I've ever been in my life. My aim was to get back my original size back. I seem to have done that, maybe very slightly more, and I knew that you can't expect more than that. I have the longest LGX cylinders at 21cm, albeit without any RTEs. Fully pumped it stands erect like an impenetrable Rock of Gibraltar. I cannot imagine anyone possibly wanting it harder.

But is getting back your original length needed to get orgasm? For example,when you were you able to safely have sex postop, were you able to have reach orgasm even with the size that you werent satisfied with postop?

No, if you can orgasm now you should be able to cum post implant regardless of size. The main thing that affects orgasm is pain while healing. I had the OK for sex at 6 weeks but didn't start having sex until 8 weeks due to discomfort. I had also got some of my size back by then. It also seems fairly common to experience some numbness post op. I had/have some numbness on the underside of my penis mainly near the base. It has slowly gotten better and hasn't affected my ability to orgasm, as the most sensitive parts under the glans kept full sensation. What can make orgasm difficult initially is just discomfort from your penis, scrotum etc getting used to the cylinders, pump and tubing. And the continued stretching of everything from daily cycling. That healing can take some time and how long varies from person to person. I could not orgasm the first few attempts at sex but then gradually started to climax maybe every third time. It was a mix of pleasure and pain at that stage, but slowly got better and now I orgasm 9 times out of 10, and having sex feels great again.

Maybe mine is somehow anchored better, or the lack of RTEs makes a difference

Whats RTE?.

Rear Tip Extenders. They vary in length and surgeons generally use them to get a more accurate fitting when a standard cylinder length is not an exact fit. Sometimes they may also use them if they think it will suit the patient's anatomy better.

But whats considered "large penis?" Will the doctor determine which device is best for me before the surgery based on size?

It's a bit subjective. The world average is about 5.5 inches but a lot of guys with very big dicks think they are average.
My thinking is probably guys approaching 7 inches and larger, but to be more objective I'm also thinking anyone who would need the Coloplast Titan XL series, which comes in larger length cylinders of 24, 26, and 28 cm. Yes you should have a discussion with your surgeon about what might suit you best, and make them aware of your preferences and objectives. Sometimes they may say they will make a final decision decide in theatre after measuring.

Is this curvature the result of the surgery?

Not exactly and it's very specific to my case, so I wouldn't be concerned. I had scarring/fibrosis from use of Trimix injections and already had some level of curvature. That was cleaned up during the implant surgery but over time with cycling it has caused a bend to the right. It's actually considered a form of Peyronie's disease. It's mainly cosmetic and doesn't affect sexual function. But I still want to fix it and I'm doing exercises to break up the remaining plaque under my surgeon's guidance.

Interesting. It's nice that your LGX keeps seating in the glans, but as you said I'd be a little concerned about erosion over time. Though as a capsule forms tougher tissue that might be a non-issue entirely.

Longer flaccid than erect is funny, do you find the extra length annoying to stow in your normal clothing? I'm finding with the Titan my length flaccid and erect are very similar, maybe 1/4-1/2" different. That has me a little concerned for when I return to work since I have a 28cm implant. It's about as long and thick flaccid now as it was with a mild semi-erection before. Though she's cute, I don't want to spend time in the HR lady's office...

I haven't measured recently so It may be an optical illusion, but yes, post implant there's definitely much less length difference between flaccid and erect. I'm not in your category but I was always a grower and now very much a shower. Yes stowing it sometimes can be annoying. With incidental movement my dick often finds positions that can be disconcerting in public places, and not always comfortable. I'm torn between just enjoying it and being too obvious. I do welcome a smile from attractive women, but usually try and discreetly reposition it. I've been retired for several years so work is no longer an issue. I used to work in a government/corporate office environment, sometimes attending meetings with high ranking individuals of both sexes. I would have taken steps to camouflage it back then. Haha, during my final gig I worked on a short project with the HR director, who was a gay male. Nice guy but my bulge probably would have sent the wrong message .
