UPDATE (Pictures Included)

Just a quick update. Here is my Titan One-Touch inflated.

Here is the One-Touch deflated.

Apologies, the angle is a bit different from inflation to deflation. However, as you can see, deflated is nearly identical as inflated. Yes, there is a difference. My surgery was five weeks ago, and yes a bit concerned about it. If not for this jock strap, my unit would still be facing completely forward under deflation. And after a day in the jockstrap, yes, it is a somewhat painful.

Deflating it is not easy because finding the button is not easy. I have to feel around for that darn deflation button. According to the doctor, the deflate button is facing forward, which is (at present) difficult for me to get to. If it were on either of the sides or the back, it'd be much easier.

Either A. I am not deflating the unit properly or B. the cylinders have not yet softened. This is possible since I do not have a bathtub to soak in, and therefore the cylinders cannot soften in the hot water. I do take showers, but suspect that just running hot running water on the Titan is just not the same as soaking for 30 minutes to an hour a day.

Also, inflating the Titan Touch is not easy. The bulb is really hard to push down on. I use two hands to do it. A bit afraid of breaking the bulb.

If anyone has suggestions, I'd be appreciative.

Find some type of plastic dish tub, plastic bag, kitchen pan or something like that and put the hot water and your junk in there 30 minutes a day for 3 weeks… it helps!
Where there is a will there is a way! Good luck!

but in your opinion is it the heat or must it be the hot water that softens the cylinders and the pump?

How many pumps are you able to put in? Soaking help with loosening the scrotum so you can feel the pump and deflate button easily, I didn't think it was to soften the cylinders.

It took me 3-4 weeks to learn that I wasn’t deflating it enough. I eventually figured out to squeeze it very firm for a while until it completely quits getting smaller then with it completely squeezed push it into your body. Then immediately upon letting go give the pump a quick full squeeze which should stop any flow back from resivor. And your correct it will take a long time to soften up your Coloplast titan. At around 6-7 weeks I started doing the Perito exercises which helped it soften up a lot! I asked my Dr about damaging the pump. I have an extremely strong grip. He sssured me that I wouldn’t hurt it… so far so good.

Those cylinders are really firm. Uncertain how to squeeze them any more. They do not squeeze very well, at all. Should I try to squeeze them even more ??

I believe that after I sleep, upon waking up that I believe the cylinders are full, again. Never heard about giving a final squeeze to stop flow back.

The cylinders will be firm for several months. When I deflate I'll wrap a layer of towel over my shaft. Hold the deflate button while squeezing along my shaft. It takes 30-45 seconds for me. When I get as much saline as I can out of the cylinders I'll pump one or two pumps to lock it from self-inflation. The pump bulb will also soften up in a couple months. It's tough as can be, and I still need both hands to inflate. I rest the bulb in the bend at middle knuckle of my right index finger and pump with both thumbs. Other fingers keep the bulb in place. With practice, you'll find the easiest way.
