Should I get surgery now or wait to see Eid?

I'm scheduled for surgery with a surgeon at Mount Sinai, NYC in 2 weeks. The doctor performs about 50 implants a year. I currently have Healthfirst insurance which covers it. But I'm motivated to switch to Anthem Blue Cross cuz Dr Eid accepts that insurance and I'd want him to perform the surgery ideally.

But for that to happen I need to obtain 'good cause' from the Medicaid office to switch insurance. That will take time. How much time? I don't know. So should I get the surgery now or wait til I get good cause permission to switch insurance will get me surgery with Eid?

Please note that I can't waste time cuz my gf gave me sort of an ultimatum that if I can't please her I'll end up losing her. Her words, not mine.

From my understanding, there’s a big difference in infection rates between low and high volume surgeons. Waiting for Dr. Eid won’t eliminate the risk but it gives you the best chance.

And then, with a calm and sober head, choose a surgeon and the right time for surgery. After what those bastards did to me, I spent another 3 years studying all the literature, consulting with all the world's implantologists, reading this forum, and talking to a couple hundred guys with implants. Just stop and be the first to tell her that it's not her, but you who is leaving her! Then, after the implantation, she'll come running to you herself when her latest boyfriend dumps her, realizing she's selfish. Only then will you no longer need her. Believe me. I understand it's painful for you to read this, but it's true! Women like her are very cunning and cruel.

Just stop and be the first to tell her that it's not her, but you who is leaving her! People are trying to help you here. If you'd read AntonS's posts, you'd know exactly how he was disfigured by bad surgeons. Many people here are older than you and have seen these scenarios play out time and again. Nobody's trying to tell you how to live your life, they're trying to keep you from making mistakes many of us have made in the past. Ignore their advice all you want, but there's no need to berate them for giving it.

Watching everybody give you the same advice and you getting mad about it is like a mother watching her son go by in a marching band who says "Look at that, every single member of the band is out of step except my son!"

Guessing you already did, but are you sure Eid will not use what you have? If it pays it pays ….. what would he care which insurance it is? Worth pushing this issue with Eid if you haven’t already…..

My meaning is if your insurance pays for implant surgery I would think Eid would accept it. Guess he has enough business that he can be selective with what he accepts.

Strange but if Eid didnt care what insurance one had he wouldve accepted any insurance.
