Solarboyz wrote:Thanks for reply. I am learning from this forum how unprepared I was for this surgery, or that my education by physician was not adequate, or my expectations and impatience are getting in the way. all possible.
I have another meeting tomorrow with physician. I will ask for the 3rd time for the serial number since that request has been ignored twice. The Perito exercise was never discussed with me, so I watched the video and tried it. a little painful but doable. I will bring that up to physician as well.
I am 11 weeks post surgery. Are my expectations to high at this point? I may have an overinflated view of my past size and girth ( yes! Pun intended, bet I am not the first!), but more distressing is my wife's agreement "that "thing aint gonna work " and i have lost size.
does it improve?
Specs- AMS700 CX Tenacio. 24cm implant, .5 cm right only tip extender.100ml reservoir.
Hi Solarboyz, I'm sorry to hear that things are not what you expected. Can you be more specific about your pre-op and current size? I was initially disappointed because I had lost size (very common), but from prior research I knew that it would take time, cycling and patience to get it back. Eventually I restored my size to pre ED measurements but it took many months. You say that you "may have an overinflated view of my past size and girth". Does that mean you are guessing about your pre op and current dimensions? Could that be influencing your assessment of your current size vs previous? 24 cm is a fairly large implant, so I'm thinking you were above average size?
There are different opinions on the benefits and risks of the Perito exercise. My surgeon taught me to use a modified version holding the penis as long as comfortably possible at each of N,S,E,W positions, bending it as far as possible (slowly). He believes it can help restore size, particularly the downward (south) position. I've been doing that every time I cycle from 6 weeks on.

any input on how many weeks before bulb softens? visited the surgeon ( again) and he confirmed I have the 24 cm tubes and the 100 ml reservoir. All I know for sure is that I have owned this piece of anatomy for 68 years and been married to the same woman for 45. Neither of us are happy. Is it useable? maybe. is it what I was born with? No.The surgery was to cure ED and Peyronies. Prior to surgery was pills and then injections. Peyronies not withstanding the difference between former and current erections is significant. at the end of a lengthy pumping cycle and me and it standing up, a baseball hat would fall right off. No elevation. Surgeon declares it a success and I do not.
How has the implant affected your Peyronie's? Is it straighter now than pre surgery? What angle of elevation do you currently have vs previous? Could any of that be affecting your perception of your current results? I'm also wondering if any straightening has had an impact on your length. I have some Peyronie's post implant and have an erection angle just above 3 pm, which works fine for sex.
Sorry I can't help with the Tenacio pump as I have the MS, but I'm sure Chuck can answer. I encourage you to keep pressing to see if your pump is affected by the recall.

Re: AMS 700 Tenacio Pump hard to inflate
Solarboyz, it took about a week before I felt like the pump bulb was becoming more flexible, and another week before it was flexible enough to get full pumps. Up to then I was doing 'mini-pumps' that allowed me to cycle -- it just took a lot of them during that time. You said that you're 11 weeks post-op. If you've been doing mini-pumps when cycling twice a day during that time, I would have thought the pump bulb would have become more flexible. Did you or your Dr check your serial number against the recall list ?
