Man, I hear you loud and clear, when the countdown gets under a month it really does start to feel real. The nerves are normal, honestly it would be weird not to feel them. You’ve already done the homework, met with Dr. Hakky, weighed the pros and cons… now it’s just the brain catching up with the body that, yeah, this is actually happening. The orgasm worry makes total sense too. Lots of guys talk about needing some “retraining” after surgery, different sensations, different patterns, but most end up finding their groove again. It’s kind of like updating the software to match the new hardware. The fact that you’re already tuned into it and thinking ahead is a good sign you’ll adjust quicker.
Prostate cancer really took a toll on my erections. Before treatment things were already slipping, and afterwards it was like my body just couldn’t cooperate the way it used to. Pills helped for a while, but not consistently, and the frustration of never knowing if it would work started wearing me down. It wasn’t just physical either, it messes with your head, your confidence, even your sex drive, because you start dreading the disappointment. That’s a big part of why I finally decided to go the surgery route. Living in that in-between space, hoping for a good night and usually being let down, felt worse than taking the leap. Everyone’s path is different, but for me, once I accepted what prostate cancer had changed, it actually made the choice clearer.
You’re in a strong spot going into this, and having Dr. Hakky in your corner is huge. I’ll be rooting for you on the 21st and can’t wait to hear about your smooth recovery and how things fall into place afterwards. You’ve got this.

You’ve got this ElbowRoom, you’ve been on here running all this data through your brain learning what you need to know
As far as delayed orgasm, put it on the back shelf for a while, with what you’ve dealt with between ED and personal life these things happen. From what I’ve read here it sounds as though you can deal with that after you are done healing from implant.
My wife brought this up last night after sex cause I don’t always get off during sex especially 30 minute quickies. She knows I’m not a fan of quickies and we both like to draw sexcapades out for a while, but work nights they are quickies.
This has been a topic with AI and myself as well and on question list for my new uro. AI says it could be from personal life which you can relate to.
Again get through the healing process first.

Thanks, that’s kind of where I’m at — one step at a time, deal with the immediate problem of surgery and healing, then tackle the next problem if/when it manifests.
I’ll update the forum after my appointment on the 6th, and give a detailed journal of the experience once the surgery rolls around on the 21st.
Thanks again to everybody for their help!
