I have noticed that I have not seen any members on this forum who mentioned using a female surgeon for their implant. So I guess I'm curious, does anybody here have a female surgeon that installed an IPP or MPP for them? There are a few on YouTube talking about implant surgery, but I don't know how many (if any) are considered top, high-volume surgeons.

Another question: Would you use a female for your surgery? Or would you prefer a surgeon who "has the same equipment" so they can better understand the male perspective surrounding the procedure and the penis in general?

Personally I'd be torn, but not because I'm sexist. If she was world class I'd like to think I'd be fine with it, but there is something to be said for a male surgeon who can empathize with how you feel about your penis. A woman might look at a result and say "it's fine, it's in the normal range," where a man might say "he won't be happy with that, let's see if we can make it better."

Seems like kind of the same reasoning that leads most women to prefer female Gynocologists. Just random thoughts here, curious what others think about this.

As a man, I would only ever go with a surgeon who is truly capable of understanding the emotional concerns regarding the outcome of such a procedure. This is something deeper than mere skill and competence, going beyond a result that is merely functional. If that makes me “sexist,” then fine. I really don’t give a shit; this is my fucking dick we’re talking about. But I don’t think it’s at all unreasonable, as biological women don’t have penises, that I wouldn’t ever allow one to operate on me down there.

Incidentally, someone here did have an implant put in by YouTube urologist Rena Malik. That individual complained of having been considerably shortchanged and was pretty unhappy with the result, more or less corroborating my sentiments.

While my uro/surgeon is a man, I needed a little help at first and he referred me to the Boston Atlantic rep who was present at my surgery. She is very attractive and was very helpful! But very professional ...
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

Malik is a generalist, not an implant specialist. I think you risk poor results with any surgeon who's not a high-volume implant expert, male or female.

That said, I understand your perspective.

Good point.

Yeah, I agree with you on the skill of high-volume implant surgeons, male or female; but, like OP said, there’s a level of intelligibility that I just don’t think a woman could understand being of a distinct physiology.

What about you? Would you be comfortable going with a woman?

In Germany for example we have a female surgeon in Frankfurt who is one of the top recommended surgeons for implants.

It might be a turn on to have a female surgeon activate your implant in their office.

I'm not sure, that's why I started the thread! :)

I'd like to think I care about surgical skill above all else, but there is something to be said for the intangible of the surgeon knowing the equipment from a personal perspective.

I think if a female surgeon was high volume, and regarded as world class like Clavell, Eid, Hakky, Perito, etc...and had lots of rave reviews as those surgeons do on FrankTalk, I'd be okay with using a female surgeon.

I do find it interesting and a little strange that none of the top surgeons that regularly come up in implant discussions are female. Maybe it's harder for them to come up and get the number of surgeries in to be really high volume, because more men hesitate to use them as females?

There's an interesting social dynamic here, to be sure.

I definitely have thought about the awkwardness and potential embarrassing situations involved with having a female handling your erect gear.

That said, many years ago when I was first being diagnosed I had a doppler done at a University hospital with an induced erection. It stayed hard for over three hours and they wanted to bring it down. The doc they brought in to manage this was a very attractive Asian woman. She was touching and squeezing my penis quite a bit, and eventually ended up giving me two shots to bring it down.

She was very business-like and clinical, so it wasn't at all a sexual situation. Plus I'm not really shy at all about my body so it didn't bother me at all. Your mileage may vary!
