Im a young man (28) and require a penile implant, i am extremely worried about losing size as erect is around 6.5 inches.

I was just wondering if everyone has lost size after their implant amd how nuch size you have lost and if the implant has helped them.

I am also seeing Dr Christopher Love in Australia

Over 2 years in Coloplast Titan. Upon losing my prostrate I was 2 inches max non functional for 3 years. Today I am 6L 6 G.

That’s amazing, man! So, you were down to 2 inches for 3 years before implant?

Why does prostate surgery cause shrinkage like that?

Thats a good question. I really don't know why it causes such shrinkage. I was a solid 6.5 L and thick with a large head befor prostrate surgery.. Believe me when I tell you I wanted to leave the planet with that 2 inch turtle head. Upon waking up from my implant surgery I was very disappointed as it was short and thin. Much better than the 2 inch way however it grew and grew and grew.I'd say I began to notice growth around the 6 month mark. I'll always believe others on here who talk about their own good growth as I feel that mine was a rarity but here I am with mine. I did suffer from a floppy head and had looked into alternative surgery to fixit. I never had to go that route as that too healed itself. which took well over one year to heal.

I'm approaching 5 months post op and a couple weeks ago I measured almost a 1/4" longer (6.5") than my pre-op and flaccid stretch length (6 1/4"). Seems my aggressive cycling helped me grow from 6" post op to now 6.5". And, my girth is very close to my pre op girth of 5 3/4". I'm happy ;)

Thanks. I've been cycling for an hour first thing in the morning and then again at bedtime. But the nightly cycling has pretty much been replaced with sex ;) I'll pump to max (can't squeeze any more). Then after about 5-10 mins I'll Perito it up and down at the base 10-15 x, then move up the shaft half way and bend it up and down again 10-15 x, then grab just short of the glans and bend it up and down 10-15 x. I don't go side to side as my Dr said that can put uneven pressure on the cylinder tips and glans. After those 3 sets, I'll pump again and usually get around 10 more pumps in, but it can range from 5-15 more pumps. I'll do that whole routine again about 20-30 mins later and then deflate after about an hour.

The first few weeks of doing this cycling routine I would get some soreness but I would "man up" and just take the pain. No pain no gain! And now I really don't have any soreness or pain at all. I've noticed this routine pretty rapidly softened up the cylinders and made my flaccid more natural feeling.

Wooody, that -- is an impressive cycling routine. Mine is nothing compared to that. As you've gained girth has it been even from base to tip ? My girth around the base has gone from 5.5" to 5.75+". Leaves me wondering if that increase in girth will work its way up the shaft ?

My girth pre op was pretty much even from base to tip, just under 6", and has remained even post op. Right after surgery I was 5.5" and now I'm nearly 5.75", which was my pre op size.

You lose length because they have to remove the internal sphincter at the bladder plus up to an inch of urethra that is surrounded by the prostate. It all then reattached together but because of the shortened urethra which is non stretchy you lose that amount of penile length.
My personal experience was about an inch to an inch and a half (not measured)

Sorry, should have looked at my reply before posting. I was trying to reply to the earlier question about loss of length after prostate surgery (newbie mistakes)
