Re: Need help…
Just trying to understand it all. The Dr told me it should take 7-14 pumps for a full erection. I’m pumping 50. How will time change this?
AMS700 LGX - 21cm - 12/20/22. ED issues for last 5+ years. Pills worked for a while. Injections were horrible. To date, not a fan of the implant (read my posts)

It may not change. Or it might.
The important thing is, how full (rigid and enflated) your penis gets, not how many pumps it takes to get there.
How many pumps depends not only on the size of the implant (how much flulid it takesto fill it up) but how much fluid you transfer with each squeeze of the pump bulb. Technique, your grip (where you place your fingers) how deeply yoiu squeeze all factor in to the count.

Rjm1220 wrote:Big difference in size. i was able to get a full blown erection but just couldn’t maintain it. Length and girth were there. Surgery changed that. Girth is minimal and length is a good 1-1.5” shorter. I cycle it 3-4 times a day and best i can get is a firm skinny chubby… and that’s with 30+ pumps.
I read all these posts where guys are saying they’re hard but not full length yet. I get the length issue but with 30 pumps it should at least be harder. At what point do you stop pumping? Sometimes it gets so hard to pump i think my ball sack is going to be black and blue. Honestly, i think i may have a defect. Others i speak to are not having the same issues
First of all yo need to follow your doctors instructions for cycling. That is how many times a day and for how long. If your doctor advised 3-4 times a day then fine but if not follow your doctors instructions. You are risking infection and other complications if you do not.
Now about cycling. Your doctor should have given you instructions or referred you to follow the schedule on your AMS user DVD. If you need that DVD and cannot find it it is on line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwp0YfSLxIU Many doctors tell men to inflate as much as they can for as long as they can up to the time instructed. You are looking for a stretching feeling. If that turns to pain you need to stop and deflate and wait till the next scheduled time to cycle. We are all different and we take different amounts of time to heal. Resting and healing was your job after surgery. Cycling is your job now. Do that job the best you can following your doctors orders but do not cause damage. Damage can cause bleeding and scar tissue. Blood pooling is a source for infection and scar tissue can cause size loss the opposite of what you are looking to do. I researched this for years before I had the surgery. I read many posts of men having WTF did I do to myself episodes after the surgery. Most all of these will disappear with time. And I still had some. Relax and do what your doctor says to do and give this a few months. As I said I told myself I would not judge the outcome for at least a year after the surgery. This is because I had read of others recovering size out to a year. I did so even past a year. And this will increase even after that as men who have replacement surgery after 5 years most always bet a larger size device.
We are not telling you not to post. Just to relax a bit and understand that the recovery from this surgery can take a long time. Like if you get a new knee it takes a while to walk and even then it takes a long time to get back to 100%. So ask questions if you don't understand something you read. And understand you need to follow your doctors instructions for you and not some other doctor for someone else. Contacting your doctor is best. You can ask your doctor about the things you read on this or other sites. After you have fully healed and are released from your doctor you can decide if you want to try any of the other methods for restoring size loss.
Best of luck to you going forward with this.

It may not change at all. Or in a year, you may be doing like me and using 80 little bitty squeezes to get an awesome boner that sticks up at a 45 degree angle like you were a horny 17 year old. Time will tell.
Doctors know a lot, and God knows we need their expertise, but they don’t know everything. No two guys are alike.
When the cylinders are at the surface, exposed to atmospheric pressure of 14.7 psi, and the bulb is not squirreled away inside a nutsack (how’s that for a metaphor?) then 14 squeezes might be just the right amount. It also helps that the bulb you’re gripping in an exam room demonstration doesn’t have body fluids and tissues surrounding it.
But it’s not. The cylinders are confined in the region that used to house your corpora cavernosa. The squeeze bulb is in your scrotum. After 3 years mine still is slippery. And after a few good squeezes mine is like squeezing a rock. Sure, I can tell even a little indentation from a hard squeeze is moving fluid. But pumping mine up is 3 sets of 20 to start, then some more until I’m feeling pretty stretched and rigid. That’s one of the nice things about the LGX, it does enlarge in length as you pump and sort of emulates an erection in that regard.
Don’t sweat the # of pumps. Sure, discuss it with your doc on a future visit. Your bulb may get more flexible than mine. Three years of active usage has not softened my bulb up much. But the end result has been great.
Your description has been pretty much spot on what I went thru. I have been totally thrilled with outcome. I was unamused at a month, but it gets progressively better albeit so slowly as to be almost unnoticeable. At a year you’re gonna be pumping 50…60…70 squeezes and within a fraction of an inch from your original size. It’ll look good and work even better.
I get the angst and worry. I really do…been there, done that, don’t have a t shirt but I do have an implant in lieu of. Truthfully, you still gave shit swollen that you don’t even suspect of being swollen. In about 60 days that’s gonna dissipate and you’re gonna pick up 1/2-3/4 inch of dick overnight.

I have a 21cm LGX and it takes a lot of quick small pumps. Up to 100 if I was fully deflated. Less if I do wall to wall slow pumps or am not fully deflated. And your pump is new and tight and might not be switching the valve fully. The pump bulb is stiffer as are the cylinders and with time will soften. I did find that slower full wall to wall pumps would give me more girth at times and the faster small pumps would result in more length. But I had trouble with my pump acting quirky.
There is a learning curve to this and you will learn what your pump needs you to do. Your DVD has a number of different ways to pump. That is in the link on line in my earlier post if you do not have yours.
Good luck.
