Hey Guys,

I don't know how to do the tag line so here is a brief background. 32 years old struggled with physciological ED for 10 years but generally have been able to perform well and get great erections. I do however have a small plaque in the middle of my penis resulting in an hg deformity (due to edging) that is sometimes visible sometimes not but goes away when fully hard. have used trimix but went back to cialis because the latter was effective. 7in x 5.75

So i was totally happy with my erections 2 weeks ago then a girl gave me some adderall which acts as a major aphrodisiac for me but also hinders my erections so i took that and beat my soft dick for about 12 hours. Now the tissue near the top feels weird and it is difficult to get a full erection. I am unsure whether I have definitely made the existing plaque worse or if it is all in my head i keep rubbing my cock checking to see if erection quality has improved and end up masterbating every morning because i'm no longer getting morning wood after the 12 hour session and miss it. I am hoping it is just not getting hard because I am masterbating 3x a day and just need to rest it to go back to normal?

I have a doppler scheduled for the 19th and if the plaque has gotten worse or there is some damage I am thinking about going through with an implant. How does an implant compare to cialis/trimix erections is it better? I am torn between getting an implant to make sure I don't get any atrophy or waiting to see if I heal like I have in the past from these compulsive masterbation episodes I seem relapse to.

Thanks lost sheep. I got a spontaneous erection this morning but a lot weaker than usually and I took 20mg cialis the night before.

Which VED device do you recommend? I’ve tried pumping before and initially got harder erections but then pumping seemed to stop working and make my erections softer.

A vacuum is a vacuum and blood erecting a penis does not care much if it is driven into the tunica/cavernosum by your own blood pressure alone (differential with normal atmospheric pressure) or your blood pressure being greating than the reduced atmospheric pressure inside a vacuum chamber. So, in my opinioin, any VED will do if it meets certain criteria.

Gets a good seal around the base of the penis (base of vacuum cilinder small enough)

Large enough diameter of the vacuum cylinder that it does not interfere with expansion and lengthening of the penis

Easy control over the degree of vacuum (vacuum gauge is nice for this)

Durability you don't want one that will break after a few weeks of use

Medical grade devices may be more durable and easier to operate and have convenience or comfort features. But novelty shop devices still produce a vacuum and the vacuum is the important factor.

One can even build one out of automotive shop devices.

Application of constriction rings (for therapeutic use) is 100% a non-issue. VED use for penile health involves only getting erect inside the vacuum. Keeping it erect outside the vacuum cylinder is simply unnecessary and maybe even counter-productive.

My recommendation is anything that forms a good seal, is easy to operate and robust enough to promise a good service life. A gauge is nice to have. Constriction ring applicator is unnecessary. Sex novelty shop will do. If the vacuum pump mechanism breaks, a manual vacuum pump from an auto parts store can be attached to the sex-shop's vacuum chamber/cylinder.

An implant is just a hard stick inside your soft dick. Nothing is better than a pulsing blood filled dick.

True enough, oldbeek. But tissues surrounding that hard stick also have tissues which engorge and have all the same nerve endings as before the implant.

No throbbing erection, for sure (I miss that). Not self-erecting (my partner misses that more than I do, I suspect). A few miscellaneous differences (cross-sectional shape, girth loss or increase, length loss etc).

But the OPs question is largely pointless. Most, if not all, implantees did not have a choice between a natural functioning penis and the implannted penis. Any man who would CHOOSE to core out a natral functioning penis in its prime in favor of an implanted one needs to examine his choices VERY carefully.

Is it weird that my penis still throbs, i can even see the vein throbbing fully pumped up!

I just would like to throw out my feelings on implants vs how it used to be. It seems that this type of question comes up on a regular basis. I understand the concern but at which point in time are you comparing your natural penis?
I suspect that most members asking the questions are thinking about their youthful erections. I think that as you work your mind around to deciding on an implant you need to realize that your youthful erections are not coming back without surgical intervention.
Thus the better timeline to judge your natural erection is the few months or even years before your implant. If you're happy then fine. If you want a working penis then implant beats that non working natural penis.
It seems that most implanted men finally come to the realization that they should of got their implant earlier. Most that have a failed implant are prepared to get a revision. To me, those 2 facts scream that the implanted penis is better than their natural penis at the time of deciding for an implant.
