I really hate hearing guys whose results were less than ideal, and sincerely hope they get things fixed and working well in a timely manner.
I echo those whose regret was waiting so long.
It’s been 2 1/2 years. I’m 66. I act younger, feel younger, have a bit of swagger and never lack confidence in my sexual prowess anymore.
So I lost .2” length and a half inch of girth. My surgeon liked the LGX and it’s a great device, just not ideal if you had a fat cock. No big deal. It looks great or and works even better. A rock hard 6 1/2” tool is all a guy really needs.
The LGX, as much as I might gripe about the girth loss, really does emulate an actual penis. I hang limp at 5 1/4. Pump it up it lengthens to 6 1/2. No special underwear (I haven’t worn them in 35 hrs since a bad case of crotch rot in the Army at aft Polk) no discomfort, no morals charges for wearing a swimsuit at beach. It just looks like I’m pretty well hung and most guys don’t mind that.
Procedure went well. Recovery was quick. My surgeon was good but his supporting cast (especially his PA) walk on water. My follow up care and teaching me to use it mmade all difference. First three weeks I probably had 6 sessions with them training me to cycle, inflate, deflate, etc.
Count me as someone totally satisfied, ready yo wear this one out so I can get a 26 cm Titan installed. They say a revision requires 2-4 cm more than the first surgery.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

Re: Anyone regretting having an implant?
When I first met with my urologist, he told me about satisfaction rates of men and their partners for different treatments for ED.
Implants have a significantly higher satisfaction rate than either pills, pumps, or injections.
There's no going back from an implant. But, based on your signature, it doesn't sound like you have anything to go back to.
Have you tried other forms of treatment for your ED?

I went 3 years before the implant failed and underwent another surgery. So in 4 years I have spent many thousands, had 2 surgeries, went through discomfort of 2 healing processes, have a penis which is significantly shorter, have issues with airport security and tight pants, but I did have sex one time. My erections are terrific and good to know I can get hard, but I don’t seem to need them.
I see you have had both AMS and Titan. Do you have with both the problem with tight jeans ir just the Titan. Do you regret switching to Titan?

Re: Anyone regretting having an implant?
My only regret was not having the implant 3 years earlier than I did. You say have the choice of an implant or impotence, but have you tried injections with trimix? Have you been using a VED to help retain size?
If the only solution is implant then you can manage the risk to some extent by choosing the best surgeon. There are aways risks with surgery and there are always a few horror stories with even common procedures. The greatest risk with an implant is likely to be the risk of infection which is said to be 1- 3% of cases. Again the risk management is about surgeon selection and following surgeons instructions with wound care etc
I retained length but lost a bit of girth mostly due to the lack of engorgement outside the cavernosa, and some fibrosis from injections rather than the implant. But this is a small price to pay for a perfectly functioning penis.

Tight jeans were issue with either implant. Issue was length and same flaccid with both. I regret the AMS failed so soon, but no regrets on surgeon switching me to titan. Big regret that I don’t have sex, but more than able to have sex.

Alan67 wrote:Oh yes! At this moment it's the worst mistake of my life! First let me say I'm very glad (and jealous I guess) that it goes well for most people. But I am pleased for everyone. I am a few days short of 12 weeks. I was in good Health before this. Now my right side abdomen and groin area is uncomfortable most of the time with discomfort being pain if I'm trying to bend and lift and do work outside. My penis is somewhat uncomfortable and sore on the right side much of the time. My pelvic floor is regularly uncomfortable and especially so if I sit for very long at a desk. I think there is something going on with my prostrate. Some of my symptoms seem worse if I have sex or ejaculate but I'm not totally sure of that. I lost a lot of size too, especially girth but that's the least of my problems now. Unless something changes I have lost my basic health. My doctor isn't too concerned. I'm scheduled with a new doctor but that is not for another month. I am still in shock. I had no idea I was gambling with my basic health. Statistically this will probably go well for you but please know that if it goes bad, it can go really really bad.
I'm getting quite a few similar symptoms and i'm 20 weeks post opp. Mine is on the left side of the abdomen which is where the reservoir is. It's really hard to tell at the moment, as i've been suffering with diverticulitis and the colon is the same area and maybe the reservoir is knocking into the inflamed colon. But i've also been getting a pain and swelling of the underside of my shaft in the days after ejaculation . This usually starts with a bit of sticky discharge which is weird. I wonder if some sperm is going back into my bladder or something and annoying my urethra. I'm happy with my erection but the dog ears and other stuff is still quite annoying. I decided a while back to give i 6 months before i really decide if i'm happy with it or not , it's slow healing for me.
Peyronies since december 2017. 80 degree curve and shrinkage. Tried every supplement, traction and VED.

Hey I just wanted to say I hope your situation is improving. Mine is not other than to say that mentally I am getting better at accepting that Im going to permanently be in some level of continuous discomfort that I have to manage.

Re: Anyone regretting having an implant?
I'll chime in too....
My only regret - is not having been more PROACTIVE in my own sexual health earlier!
Pills, pumps, patches, injections, wafers, voodoo.....I've tried it all. AND NOTHING compares to the great on-demand satisfaction associated with the bionic boner. It will change your entire psychological perspective and that is half the libido equation, right!
Find a doctor who you feel comfortable with and who has experience. Do not get pushed into these "mass procedure mills" who implant and you are #xxxxx - find a reputable practice. BSCI for instance will help you find a qualified and experienced physician in your zip code or commuting area. Trust me, while others have traveled for the procedure, you will regret doing so
. Its going to be an uncomfortable post-op for a week or three. PM for more info/dialog.

Did you get a second opinion from a reputable Dr as to what went wrong in your case and why you're in pain?
