Really don’t want to sit in the er for hours just to be given some Tylenol. I’m going to call my doc tomorrow and see what he says.

Doctor is able to see me tomorrow and it’s a good thing. Pain is way up and this definitely needs to be closed up.

I don’t mean to worry you but it’s not a good thing.

If your pain is greater and you are leaking anything other than blood you need to see your doc ASAP, you should have gone into ER yesterday as advised rather than waiting another 48 hours. IF and I repeat IF, you have an infection those 48 hours COULD be the difference between antibiotics/salvage compared to a full take out and revision in 6 months time.

Please keep us updated and good luck tomorrow

I know of one case wherein a man not only lost his implant but most of his penis due to untreated infection.

Admittedly, this was an EXTREME case. An incarcerated man (I believe, in Florida) who had been recently implanted got an infection and was insufficiently treated until it became life-threatening.

If i had discharge that wasn't pure blood coming out of my balls i'd be down the ER within an hour. It's not worth the risk of waiting IMO. Good luck.

The doc is having me call back next week to see if the discharge clears up and I’ll be taking antibiotics. If it doesn’t work he will have to remove the implant and install the malleable option but said we could try another implant in like 6 months.

"I'll be taking antibiotics" I am uncertain if you mean taking them now and for the next week or taking them next week if the discharge does not clear up?

Vettemen, I am sorry to hear about your probably diagnoses but try and keep positive. If it was really a take out jobby I’d suspect you’d already be in the operating theatre.

I am guessing you are already on the antibiotics , I can’t imagine your doc is talking about a take out and waiting to give you antibiotics.

I wish you had gone to ER sooner, but you cant change whats be done. Good luck

I got a shot for antibiotics and just picked up 2 diff orals that I’ll be taking the next 5 days. I’m assuming they have to wait for the results of the swab to know if it’s infected.

Appreciate the kind words. I am on antibiotics now and for the next 5 days but the doc didn’t sound too optimistic although the nurse said they were strong antibiotics and I should be ok.
