I usually do 3 nights per week. Been doing it for over a year with no problems so far.
I wouldnt want to do twice in a day because my dick is sort of hung-over and tender for hours after a shot wears off and doesn't feel ready for another shot for at least 24 hours.

44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

Re: How often do you inject?
Perhaps "trust" was not the right word. Probably meant to say that I value your opinion. I am beginning to see how injections can be like alchemy. There are just so many variations, it can be a bit confusing at first for a neophyte like myself. Like yourself, my urologist was not really a big help to be honest. Gave me a few samples of Edex and try out and I was on my own. Even when starting Trimix, I was barely given any instruction on how to inject and how to store, etc. So this site has definitely been a godsend.

May I ask where you found this information? I'm in the same boat...doc is pushing Trimix, but I'm wondering if I'd be better off on just alprostadil.

I think I might have read this on another thread here on FT. It was also alluded to on another thread that I started:

Thank so much for the response. Brand new to this and trying to understand the potential issues as well as relevant options.

I've read a modest amount of medical and scientific articles on the various ED topics. Without paid access to sources maintaining links to such articles is difficult as access to the articles can change or become restricted or links may become difficult to find. Here is a link to an article in Nature.com that relates to the topic but is a bit dated now:

dosages of the individual compounds and therefore

and risk profile of papaverine and phentolamine, especially in
terms of priapism and fibrosis.
INCREDIBLY helpful information. Thank you very much for taking the time to post up. My urologist stated unequivocally he wanted to stick with Trimix in my case (even though I've had one nightmarish .01 ml Trimix #5 injection that resulted in a priapism and trip to the ER) when I mentioned trying something else. Perhaps that's just what he has the most experience prescribing to his patients?
Can anyone think of another reason he's stuck on it?
Sounds to me like alprostadil would be far safer in terms of the biggest potential side effects (fibrosis and priapism). I had a very slight dull ache from the Trimix...which makes me think I'd be able to handle the Alprostadil on its own.

I read this same thing on this site and asked my urologist about it. He said it's true - that papaverine and phento are acidic, and the acid is what causes scarring. So if just PGE1 isn't painful for you, that might be the safest option.
