Just sounds aweful

I was actually wanting that to work. Some members can actually dial up an erection for a certain amount of time by using different volumes. It was quick and very little waiting. But it does have the draw backs and I agree that getting an implant is best and wish I would have had it done many years earlier. We are all different. So what is right for one is not the same as for another.

The calm that an implant can bring seems worth it

For me it was unhappy vs. happy. I can see how this would be seen as I was calmer as I was less angry.
And the change for came after I made the choice. I was excited and wanted it done as soon as I could. I was going to do this and be whole again. I was really happy going into this surgery.

I’m only 40 and that seems
To be younger than most but all the more reason to do it maybe?

I think the reason to do this should be the same no matter what your age. And there are members here 1/2 your age and others nearly twice as old.

I’m fit and healthy in other ways and look like a very healthy strong person

Great! This will help a lot in your recovery. This really improves your chances of a great outcome

I’m
Ashamed
Of myself though no matter what and I’m sick
Of feeling like a loser

It’s aweful what ED CAN do

So true for me also. It was so bad for me I could not even ask my doctor about it. I don't know how many times I tried before I finally did. I read a report some time ago that nearly 1/2 of men with ED had not spoken to anyone about it. Not a doctor or mate. So I was not alone. But ED is going to be a thing of the past for you in a very short while.

Before surgery I still had nocturnal erections and could wake wife up and have penetration but soon lose erection. My surgeon explained that nocturnal erections and sexual erections are not equal.

I also had erections from injections, but there is no comparison to what I have now.

Implant was one of the best things I have done for myself and our relationship.

I was pretty much in the same boat as you. I dont know of anything which can feel more demoralising than penetrating a vagina with a rock hard nocturnal erection, only to feel it go limp inside her within a few moments. Its like the false hope that the nocturnal erection gives is worse than not getting it up at all.
Ive read about what your surgeon said and I believe it is that there are different nerve pathways and mechanisms of action used depending upon whether its a sexaul arousal erection or nocturnal.

I am glad you said that that what you have now is even better than with the injections, because I was beginning to worry that although the implant would be alot more convienient and allow for sexual spontanaety again etc, I was starting to wonder if maybe the erection would feel similar to that of an injection induced one - which for me were always really hard and great for sex, but felt unnatural and painful.

Well I would never comment on what you should or shouldnt do. In all honesty, if the injections were still readily available then I probably would have just kept using them. As much as I didnt like them, they did allow me to have sex and at the time I wasnt really that aware of implant surgery and even if I was, I imagine I would have seen it as too drastic, too risky...too final that I wouldnt consider it.

However, one thing I will say - and keep in mind I was only implanted on the 23rd of February this year, so I havent even used it yet, but I now have a hope and optimism for my future that I never had before. Already, despite not even using my 'new' penis yet, I am regretting why I didnt take this option 10yrs ago.

Sounds like your wife is on board

It’s hard being married with ED
it’s hard doing anything actually

I find it kills
My confidence especially bc I used
To be super potent and horny as hell

ED kills the libido for me due to worry anxiety and depression.... I truly believe if I could wake up abs implant was a success I’d feel like 900k bucks (maybe not a million lol)
I’d just feel like an Uber male again
Much more willing sexual partner
Finasteride 2005-11
Terrible

Its funny you should mention that because to be honest, I wouldnt say that my wife is 100% on board. I mean she is supportive and helping me through recovery etc, but overall I would say her level of interest is mostly indifference. In her defence though, she has alot going on in her life as well.
I have read other posts on here from members who said a similar thing, but then once they were actually having sex again then the wife was 100% agreeing it was the best thing ever.
So I think in many cases they have forgotton what 'real' sex feels like and find it hard to share in the optimism.

ED definitely kills confidence among other things - I still have a high sex drive, I still want sex all the time, but my body would not do what my head wanted...and then because of that, I would want sex, yet I was scared of it at the same time. Enjoyable sex became just a fantasy in my imagination, real sex was terrifying and full of disappointment.

Yup I’m
In same boat

If my dick was gonna be 100% hard I’d be pushing everyday rather than kinda asking but having fear on my face...turnoff

She’s not 100 percent on board and things everything’s ok bc it’s like it’s always been (terrible) in frequent

She doesn’t know how stressful for me it is

So this is where we are at

I could see the writing on the wall. My injections slowly crept up, I was up to 80 on the syringe. I was on the large side of things before surgery (posted pics), and long for those days, but moving on...
