If you can't answer the members question or concern without judging his choice, simply don't answer his question. Maybe you are scared for a lot of reasons... it is a permanent solution but, for me anyway, that is a benefit.......

I'm still trying to figure out where someone was causing a confrontation, not trying to support or assist, was questioning judgment or choice, or wasn't genuinely trying to answer the OP's actual or implied question. :D

Being "scared" of the fairly major permanent surgery that implant surgery is, is just natural and common sense. Like much in life it's a gamble. You have to weigh what you have to gain against what you stand to lose. Thorough research would be smart. I would think the choice is a no-brainer at both ends of the spectrum. It's the closer you get to the mid-point of the gamble where it gets close and is an individual decision. :D

As for doing injections and pills at the same time: My first Uro prescribed Edex to my while on his daily prescribed Viagra (100s - half or whole) for therapy. He never said to stop the Viagra. My second Uro asked why I was using Viagra while using Mono-Mix. I told him it allowed me to use less mix. He just said "OK" (He actually seemed surprised injections were working for me). Otherwise I know it's generally not recommended and I'm certainly not recommending the practice or suggesting it has any medical approval. I'm a Radical prostatectomy patient with nerve damage and that may or may not make the answer different from someone with other ED challenges. I'm no doctor!

I am on the 5mg. daily dose of Cialis and 30-1-20 tri-mix injections.

Tri-mix worked great for a while. Several years and hundreds of shots actually. Tri-mix is no longer very effective, it's implant time for me.

I think it's natural to be scared, but you reach a point where there are no other options if you want to continue to have a viable sex life.

I got over pills and injections early. As soon as I came to understand that injections can cause scarring that could effect the size of an implant I ran to get my Titan.
It was the best decision I ever made.
My GF made the call recently that from her perspective, my cock is better than it ever was pre implant. It would take 6 normal dicks to satisfy her but I can keep her humming for as long as she wants......by myself.......happy ‘wife’ happy life :D

How long does it take for a penis to respond to an injection?

I ask, because an implant lacks one feature of a "natural" erection. Can the man's partner watch (and participate in) growing the erection (somewhat) spontaneously? Some women (and, I guess, some male partners of implanted men) miss the ratification provided by "growing" their lover's erection from flaccid to erect.

Pills can let that happen (when they work) Vacuum pumps and implants cannot (though, the partner CAN participate in erecting the erection, it is not the same to many).

Can injections allow a few minutes between injection and the erectile response so the injectee's partner may have (at least the illusion of) participation in the erecting of the erection?

Thanks for any feedback. I am curious but do not know because I never used injections. I went from pills to implant with a short detour through the V.E.D.

Yeah to some degree. She can play with you while you're getting hard. It can take 10 to 15 min to get fully boned out but it starts pretty quickly. Like lots of stuff it varies by individual and can vary with an individual. However, if it's working optimally, it will be 10 min or less.

When the pills stopped working I tried the injections...didn't like them from the beginning.....it felt weird, sometimes worked better than other times, to much hassle, to much equipment,...I injected maybe 5 times and then said "fuck this"...personally, I can't see why guys would go through all of that when they can get an implant.....sure, initially it's a scary thought to be opened up by the balls and have a device installed....any involved surgery is scary.....but when you assess the outcome IMO it's a no brainer.....that's how I approached it.....at first it was a big deal for me but this forum helped me immensely.....by the time it was 2 weeks before my procedure, I was looking forward to it.....it been 2 years, I'm about to turn 69 and I'm fucking like a mayor.....
