Dr. Eid or Dr. Perito

Postby Bbob52 » Tue Nov 27, 2018 12:19 pm

Guys, in your opinion, who is the better choice? Dr. Francois Eid in New York, or Dr. Perito in Miami. I'm leaning towards Dr. Eid, because of his being able to maximize size with the no touch technique, but Perito is "minimally invasive" and is supposed to have less post op pain and quicker recovery time
35 year old. Implanted by Dr. Hakky 4/29/19. Coloplast Titan 22 cm, no RTE, genesis pump

Might consider Allan Morey of UT Southwest Dallas. I am pleased 5 years later with his work. Titan Coloplast 22 cm with an extender of unknown length.
67 year old implanted with 22 cm + extenders Titan Coloplast in 2013. Facing prostate robotic prostate removal on January 15, 2019. Am told that it will be nerve sparing hope that I will still have feeling . Gleeson 7; 4+3

what the literature to support that perito is less insavie and less post op pain & Eid gives more size

Serious?
My guy trains with Perito and obviously knows Eid well.
My end result is outstanding.
From what I read on here I would say either of those doctors would do a superb job for you.

True, but the Mercedes is longer and has more girth, at least the GLS450. :)

There is no comparison Dr. Eid is a true master you will be cycling in three days and sex in three weeks he is a true mild mannered gentleman not boisterous totally honest always available and I will say with a clean past. On the other hand Dr. Perito is a show off full of himself pretentious with a very sketchy passed arrest records possible drug dealing not the guy that I want to have any association with. He doesn’t do the surgery through the scrotum. Longer tubes more chances to have tubing issues healing time is not faster than Dr.Eid .

bob, mainly they do different procedures. Eid does scrotal. Incision underneath scrotum where the pump is placed and tubes enter the bottom of the implant tubes. Two tubes and no restriction as to where they enter. Then you have 1 tube going into the reservoir going around the base of the penis then under the pubic bone.
Perito and infra pubic the incision is right at the base of penis at the pubic bone. The incisions to the tunica in the penis are on top of the penis. The connections need to be forward of the pubic bone. This requires RTEs to be installed to get the tubing entrance forward of the pubic bone. Also you have all 3 tubes wrapping around the base of the penis coming from the pump in the scrotum. 2 for the implant tubes and one going into the reservoir placed behind the pubic bone.
I had the infrapubic installation and logic tells me that entering the tunica from underneath where the pump is makes more sense. The pubic approach tubing is noticeable and could cause pain crunching against another pubic bone like cow girl style. If I had scrotal, I could have had a 22cm with the tubing entering way back by my pubic floor. But I have 15cm with 5.5 rte. Tubing enters the penis right at the pubic bone. The RTEs are hard and uncomfortable when flacid. The inflatable tubes would be more comfortable because they are soft when flacid.
These are my own observations of my infrapubic implant and my surgeon worked with Perito back when he was just starting. Wish I had gone with EID and scrotal approach. I do have a 9 inch dick from base of RTE to glans but would rather had 9 inch inflatable.

When I was searching for a surgeon, I communicated with Dr. Eid. I found him (after a few emails), helpful, candid and forthcoming. The best advice he have me was this:

"Find a surgeon in love with his craft." Such a surgeon will put the patient's welfare above all other considerations.

I live in Alaska. A local surgeon, when I interviewed him, told me that I would be overflying a lot of good surgeons if I went all the way to the East Coast (I was considering Dr. Kramer or Dr. Eid, but Kramer had the nod because he works within the V.A. as well as his own practice at the University of Maryland.

I went with the "local" surgeon. He impressed me with his candor. The only reason I sought Dr. Kramer was because this surgeon was not present in Alaska when I started my search. Luck, and keeping my ears open dropped him in my lap (figuratively as well as literally) at the last minute.

Drs Eid and Kramer both have patients willing to speak with prospective patients. Having first-hand reports from prior patients will give you useful insight into any Doctor's attitudes and skill, as well as his staff's attitudes and efficiencies.

Good Luck.
