AMS Pump Info

Postby Larry10625 » Mon Nov 05, 2018 3:33 pm

The question was asked the other day and I contacted the Rep from AMS;

Good morning Jamie;
I have a question that was posted on Frank Talk…
If the implant is left partially inflated, will it negatively affect the device at all?

Also, I find that for some reason I think I am getting a back flow… I say that because after I fully deflate and I am totally flaccid, later it seems to inflating a bit. To combat this I pump just until I feel/hear the click of the pump… is this a bad idea??

Here is the answer;
Hi Larry,

If the device is left partially inflated, it will not negatively impact the device. I would recommend fully deflating it periodically to allow the tissue to “rest”.

In terms of your issue with the back flow that you describe, your solution is perfect. The reason for the back flow is because the valve hasn’t been fully seated (that occurs when you hear or feel that click or vibration). Does that answer your question?

Regards,

JM

You're the moderator but if I might suggest, for the sake of clarity, you rename this sub-forum to "VEDs & Penis Pumps" and leave it restricted to those type items. Otherwise the VED guys will have nowhere to go as this sub-forum will eventually get dominated with implant pump related stuff. Perhaps it would be helpful to create another sub-forum within the Implant sub-forum dedicated to implant pump related issues. I suppose the VED uses with implants could be addressed in either location but then again that topic also is probably also better addressed within the Implant sub-forum. But like I said, I'm not the moderator or administrator. What do I know!

Edited to add the word Penis to Pumps.

for the sake of clarity

I guess the forum IS called "Pumps". Would this be an appropriate place to discuss my new tire pump compressor? :lol:
Maybe it has to also relate to a penis? How about a pump for a blow-up doll? :?

I use a brake bleeder kit (Harbor Freight) to create the vacuum in my cylinder. Perhaps we could start an auto parts forum.
