Looking at pumps

Postby Badspartan » Wed Oct 24, 2018 8:55 am

So I was going to go for the implant but insurance says no pay. Changed those plans. Right now I’m using a viagra/ trimix “cocktail”. It’ll work but I just don’t like the shots. A couple years away from Medicare and will revisit the implant option then. Dr ordered a pump for me but insurance will not pay for it either. My question is should I go ahead and pay for that one out of pocket or is another I can order from somewhere online going to be just as good. Want to use it 3-4 times a week just for therapy not intercourse

If the intended use is for sex, especially with use of medical grade constriction rings, then the medical grade pumps are far superior. However, you can likely find them substantially cheaper than what you would have paid through your doctor. If just for therapy you can find other pumps, even novelty pumps that are much cheaper in price and usually also quality that will suffice quite well. You can also pay a bunch for some non-medical pumps that come with a lot promises that may or may not be honest. I'd tell you what mine are but I can't remember where I put them at the moment. I usually keep them in a family room drawer but I was having a family visitor from out of town and hid them somewhere.

If you do not want it for intercourse, LeLuv offers a good quality pump system for about $80, including a vacuum gauge which is important for safety reasons. However make sure you order the proper cylinder size:

Cylinder sizing according to,LAPump

Girth —---> Cylinder Diameter
3.50 to 4.50* --> 1.50
4.75 to 5.25* --> 1.75
5.50 to 6.00* --> 2.00
6.25 to 6.75* --> 2.25
7.00 to 7.50* --> 2.50
7.75 to 8.25* --> 2.75

For intercourse, I got an impoAid Medical Type VED for $80 on Amazon.

I use an Encore Delux pump and love it. It is so easy to use in snapping on the tension ring after achieving an erection. I especially like that it comes in both manual and battery, and has many sizes of rings to choose the right one to keep the erection. I pump up the erection until it becomes uncomfortable and then stop. The unit is priced right and very reliable. Also, the Encore Medical staff is great about providing support and answering any questions.
