Having spent a lot of time taking care of diabetics, I know it can be controlled. For some it takes a little extra effort along with meds like eating small meals every 1 1/2 hours like the plan I made for the last man I took care of instead of large meals 3 times a day. Work at it and develop a routine that works for you and stay with it. Let things get far enough out of reach, very bad things can happen. Glad you have upped your game. Your dick will be proud. It is likely salute you! Cheers.

Hi Opie
I am also type 1 diabetic
It is really important to keep your blood glucose levels as low as possible. I eat really low carb, & try an keep under 30grams of carbs/day which means I virtually need no fast acting insulin. This way it’s easier to keep the bloods under control. The higher carbs you eat the more insulin you need, which is harder to keep under control.
It’s the law of small numbers, less yo yo effect of trying to balance food and insulin.
I had my last surgery only 7 weeks ago and was also worried about infection, my incision had deshised and come apart, it is now healing nicely things are doing ok. Try not to panic but keep monitoring everything
Hope it’s all ok

Pain is an immaterial thing to what is done and what to expect. The sandbag weight feeling is nothing. Not a pain. Be a man and ignore it. No different than when a leg goes numb and feels a bit heavy till you get the blood flowing again. It does not last.

It’s not about being s man, I can handle the pain, I was just concerned because so far everything they has happened is contradictory to what the surgeon says. He told me a week off of work. I’m already off work for a broken back, severe concussion and lacerated liver so time off for this isn’t an issue.

Update, I’m having swelling still but things feel much better, just burning and a lot of itching now. I laid down today and felt a ripping sensation where my right nut and the pump are located. Not much pain involved with that but I thing my nut is attached to the pump or at least that’s the sensation I get.

Ok so it’s been four weeks? How long before my right nut stops feeling like someone kicked it with a redwing steel toe boot? The pump is placed there and I still can barely touch it.

When is your next doc visit? You might have tubes tangled with you testicle. Not uncommon easily fixed so I understand. Have your Uro check it out.

Very interesting. I did not have testicular pain at all unles my pump jumps out of position while being pumped and usually it hits my right testicle.
Other then that, no pain in testicles.
