Hello! from new member w/ Peyronie's & ED

Postby SteveSW » Mon Sep 10, 2018 2:46 pm

When Peyronie's hit me unexpectedly about 13 years ago (64 now) the curve worsened over the first 10 months or so, and the ED started. Both issues worsened, and I've battled ever since. Doctors with real Peyronie's experience are few and far between. Viagra still helps a bit giving me about a 50% hardened state, and the curve has been reduced from 90 to about 60 degrees through Verapamil injections, VED and use of a traction device. The point of all this, is regarding an implant. Next year, with Medicare and private insurance, an implant may be plausible. My urologist has serious reservations about the implant being installed (inserted?) however, due to the very, very large plaque mass covering over half of the dorsal side. Thanks for the opportunity to share with others in this forum. Steve.

Hi,

Why would the plaque be an issue?

The insertion is normally through the scrotum.

Steve

There is help for you and your doctor may not wanting to be positive about it. I had Peyronies with plaque with indentations on the sides of the shaft. It started out with an indentation and then a curve left 45 degrees but luckily it didn't stay. Perhaps there was a balance of "dents" on either side.

Evertually i went to Dr. Eid and now my dick looks normal and I was lucky I didn't wait too long for the implant.

Stay with Medicare and you will have the implant done without any problems. The curve may be a little tricky but i am certain you will be very happy when its done.

Titan implanted by Dr Eid Due to Peyronies, Implant was the only option for me.

Welcome to Frank Talk Steve. I'm not sure where you are but if you let us know, maybe someone near you can suggest a great doctor that doesn't involve flying all over the USA. Many of our members have Peyronie's and have been successfully treated. Keep us all posted on how you are doing... we are a pretty tight community of guys who, sometimes argue but, we all share the same misery (ED) and we all stick together to treat this god awful affliction. Hang in there brother :)

Larry, Thank you for your supportive words. I have yet to receive a positive, or encouraging encounter with our local Urologists. So any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the offer! I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Steve.
