Revision same as replacement?

Both coloplast and ams have a lifetime warranty. If you need a revision, the cost will be the same as the original, minus the cost of the device. Device cost is in the ballpark of 8k. Of course this only works if you go with the same brand of implant for your revision.

I asked doctors and I called AMS and Coloplast after both implants, looked on their web sites. I am still waiting to see a copy of the warranty in writing. Only thing I find is a mention of it in advertising. Likely to be free of manufacturing defects. Other than that, if it looked like the mold when it came out, it is fine. I am amazed at how many warranties I read that are not really a warranty.

I’ve never seen it in writing either. I’m going strictly on my revision experience and what I was told by my surgeon.

Yeah those itemized bills are complete bs. I saw one of mine online and it was like 85k for implant surgery.
