At first I was doing it once a day, every day for about 1 month and staying in it until the water started getting cooler... around 39 - 40 minutes. Then it dropped to every second day for approximately 1 month and then just take showers. By then the pain was gone and pumping up was painless and easy.

How soon after surgery did you remove the catheter? I thought Dr. Eid says to leave them in 3 days not counting the day of surgery.
My surgery was on a Friday, post-op visit and flight home on Monday with the cath in, removed it Monday night when I got home.
I experienced about a day of urgency after removing it, so really glad it was in for the 5+ hour flight home, never had to leave my lie-flat seat.

Yes, I just used the shower and a heating pad while in bed. Dr Eid agreed that would be fine. A hot shower directed at your groin is just as effective as a tub IMO. Even activating for the first time felt easy enough while standing in a hot shower.Vagabond127 wrote:has anyone gone through recovery without using a bath tub as part of the recovery???
