Curious! What is your suspected "Root Cause" of ED

Postby Tx Git Slinger » Fri Jul 20, 2018 7:22 am

I know the contributing factors to ED are almost endless, but wondering if you think there is one malady, injury or watershed moment that caused or largely contributed to your ED.

My story is long and multifaceted, but to condense it into a paragraph I have late stage Lyme disease. Grew up in the northeast in a rural area which is the epicenter of the dreaded (and politically controversial) vector-borne disease. This disease is an absolute nightmare. ED is only one of its horrible symptoms and setbacks I am dealing with. It's so bad I qualified for disability. One of the tick bites I received as a youngster was on the scrotum, and my nationally renowned and super brilliant integrative medicine MD is hugely suspicious that the tick on my balls could be the culprit, or at least a major contributing factor.

Wondering if others have similar experiences.

Thank you for viewing.

I am sorry to hear what you have been and are still going through. I had ED for 30 years. For quite some time I was told it was all in my head. Finally, several years ago a new doctor sent me for a Penile Doppler test and it showed a 40% Venous Leak. From my first troubles with ED my symptoms had never changed, aside from getting worse with time. I was grateful to have proof it wasn’t in my head, but the only way I could solve the problem was with an implant. I had that surgery last fall and all is well now. Best wishes to you.

Greg
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Lyme disease, I did not that would cause ED.

Although I have not been tested, I believe I have the dreaded venous leak. It started right after I had a vasectomy about 20 years ago. Of course, the uros say that would have nothing to do with it. But the timing and coincidence are there.

For years, I thought it was made worse by "performance anxiety," but now I know it is organic/biological in nature. In other words, not in my head.

Pills worked for a few years, but then became inconsistent and not worth the trouble. I have found Tri-Mix to be a blessing. I'm on the journey to finding the perfect formula for me.

I may someday get an implant, but that is not happening as along as Tri-Mix keeps doing the job.
ED for 25 years. Went through pills and currently injecting Trimix. Implant is now scheduled for June 3! :D

The root cause of my ED is Type II Diabetes, first diagnosed at age 35.
Born 1948, wed 1969. BPH & Type II Diabetes at age 35. TURP-2002; ED even before that--diabetes. Cardiac valve surgery: 2007 & 2019. Poor results with pills. Started trimix injections in Nov, 2010. Great results from the very beginning.

As you said there can be multiple reasons. I have never experienced ED until my wife of 20 tears kicked me out at age 43. I was devastated. A few month later started dating and the first night I had zero erection. First I thought maybe it’s just strange to be with a new woman and will get better. But no. Tried Cialis. Nothing. 10mg Levitra worked great and I had 5 years of very satisfying sex life with it.

At 49 I was diagnosed with rectal cancer and went through radiation, chemo and extensive surgery. Was told I may have complete ED, but that was my least concern. Radiation effected the glands and the prostate so for a while I had no ejaculate either, but thank god my orgasm remained super intense. Pills did not work satisfactorily and that effected my second marriage at the time. I was frustrated, angry and felt inferior with my huge scars, no anus and belly button plus having stoma bag on my stomach. My wife supported me, but checked out emotionally. Seemed like she was just doing her wife duties and I couldn’t live with that so I left and divorced her.
Kept trying pills for a while but wasn’t good enough so I went for Trimix and it has been great.

In my case I believe it is partly psychological after the shock of divorce and partly chronic stress due to past relationship and work. I don’t think I have physical issues because a tiny drop of Trimix gets me super hard for 3 hours.

Actually I don’t mined having ED. Of course I’d love to have my teenage penis back with that natural complete arousal, but now I can control when I get hard and stay hard as long as I want. I learned to pick up girls in their 20’s and early 30’s and have a much more satisfying sex life and relationship than any guy I know around me. Losing the ability to naturally get hard makes us aware how important sex is for us and we here do anything it takes to satisfy ourselves and our partners and that’s exactly what real men are about: taking care of business.
All the best!
Age 54, Single, Los Angeles. Stage 2 rectal cancer in 2013. Radiation, surgery, chemo. In remission for 5 years. Some ED before cancer, complete since. 2-3 units of Trimix 40/30/2 2-3 times a week since Feb/2017 with great success!

Ya know... I thought I was the only one fucked up enough to be not that upset that this happened to me. Before total ED, I had PE so bad that once (and thank god only once) I went off after on the first stroke. I was devestated. Now, I can screw for upwards of an hour, and if I physically have the strength after that, I can just keep going. Once, it took me 55 minutes and my wife said she was glad cause she was raw. I am loving this implant... she has never said anything about BIG or RAW until this implant... it's good that dr Brock is already married or I would hit on HIM. hahahaha

I got "Transverse Myelitis" at age 24. Basically I had a virus like a cold or flu and my own immune system mistook my spinal cord for the virus and attacked my spinal cord. I was paralyzed from my chest down for months. Made about a 90 percent recovery and I can walk and wipe my own ass but can't run for shit, got ED, and lost the ability to pee and have to self catheterize myself to pee. I'm grateful for the recovery I made even though it changed my life considerably. Viagra and Cialis have and still work for me although it's not as effective as it use to be for me. I never cared for Levitra as the headaches were too much to deal with. Just discovered Trimix a few months ago and loving it. Still taking Viagra here and there for quickies and when I'm confident I'm going to be receiving a BJ. I take Trimix for marathon sex and if I need an erection in a hurry as its pretty effective 5 to 10 minutes after injecting it for me.
Age 47. Married in 2005. Tampa Bay Florida USA. Got ED 24 years ago from being paralyzed. Made a 90% recovery. See profile for more info...
