The worse part of this whole "adventure" has been what to tell people when they ask, "Oh your having surgery, what this time" I'm mainly talking about close friends and my adult married kids. The two answers I've use the most are: "It's in a very delicate area" or "It's a guy thing". You wouldn't believe how many want to know more ! I have only given complete details to one VERY close friend who also has ED problems that we have talked about before. So far, pills seem to work for him and he doesn't think he could bring himself to stick a needle "there". If any of the rest of you brothers have any ideas for those that are contemplating an implant, they WELL need some help in this area!

Re: What do you tell people?
I had RPS in March 2014, I told them due to loss of prostate you lose at least a inch of pecker because of the size of the prostate.. So I told them they had to implant a device to maintain my length. I told then it kept me from being a queen instead of a king. Most go "yuk" and change the subject. No one has ever ask me how it was done.

I’m still at a 9-5 and have just told co-workers it was personal. My friends I said I was having a hernia surgery . Explains the downtime and the cowboy walk after the implant.

Re: What do you tell people?
I used to not be able to talk about my ED to anyone. Even my doctor. Now I will talk to anyone about it as long as it is in a place where it can be talked about. All of my family members that are old enough know of my surgery. I had damage that caused that part of me not to work. I had surgery to fix it. If asked about it at a public place or family gathering where children are around or a work place I would say I would be happy to talk about it in private. But I have changed a lot this year. When I first decided to have the surgery earlier this year I was seeking advice how to keep it private. Somehow that changed. When I did start talking about it with family members it was really difficult at first then it just became a non issue. Like a weight that I had been carrying around had been lifted.
In my case I had nerve and vascular damage. So that is my public answer. And I add the surgery was fix that. If pressed in a public place I just say this is not the place to discuss it. If it is somewhere that it can be talked about I just tell them.

Re: What do you tell people?
I timed my surgery for vacation time and told nobody. So nobody asked. My wife and my docs know, but nobody else. It's nobody's business.

Tell them you had your dick worked on, then tell them they gutted the inside first and ask if they want to see the picture? They may never ask you about ANYTHING ever again
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.
Re: What do you tell people?
I told anyone who had to ask or was just curious that I was having "urological surgery," and nobody wanted to know any more details.
