Need Recommendations For Pump Brand/Model

Postby ragnar35 » Mon May 21, 2018 9:40 am

I would like to buy a pump, and do not want to waste money on something that doesn't work well. There seems to be a big difference in cost - some as high as $400.00. It appears that one important feature is a silicone adapter for the end, so you get a good seal without it hurting. Any suggestions for pumps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Do you want to have the ability to easily apply medical grade constriction rings from the pump tube or is it strictly for therapy?

The LeLuv Maxi Blue is a good quality all in system, including vacuum gauge. The cylinder has a wide flanged base for comfort.

Also make sure you get a properly sized cylinder:

Cylinder sizing according to,LAPump

Girth --> Cylinder Diameter
3.50 to 4.50* --> 1.50
4.75 to 5.25* --> 1.75
5.50 to 6.00* --> 2.00
6.25 to 6.75* --> 2.25
7.00 to 7.50* --> 2.50
7.75 to 8.25* --> 2.75

If you don't want the pump for sex with medical grade constriction rings I see no reason to pay big bucks for a medical grade pump. There are plenty of inexpensive novelty pumps that are probably OK to experiment with. I've tried a couple and they work OK but IMHO there is a substantial quality difference between the medical grade pumps and the novelty grade. I've used a couple of then. Both had the silicone cushion but that didn't work for me, possibly due to girth. The electric version I purchased works OK but has required repair a couple of times which works OK for me as I'm kind of a fix-it type guy. The previous suggestion sounds like a good one but I don't have experience with it. If you just want t cheap pump to try I'd say try looking at options on Amazon.

Get one with a gauge and don't over pump.
Married 50+ years. Use VED for sex and do
daily exercises with both water and vacuum pumps.

The width of the cylinder base is more important than the silicone sleeve when it comes to comfort.

PhalloGauge also sells some pretty good penis pump models as well.
