On this site I have found, on occasion, that some men who have taken the huge step of getting an implant like to proselytize.
I notice it especially on Pumps, but maybe because that is where I visit the most.

It's common in the Injections sub-forum also. But don't say anything negative about implants.

The thing is that many implant patients have tried injections and, are therefore qualified to comment. But injection patients can't return to injections after implant and why would they want to. :)

I completely agree!

Are they sponsored by implant providers?

I'll be disappointed if they are. :(

I wouldn't think any are consciously lying. I'd also be a bit surprised (maybe not shocked) if anyone was doing it for any sort of financial motive. There will be some who have considerable experience on the subject and who are genuinely trying to help by sharing.

However, I suspect a fair number of the implant members are posting in the other sub-forums, encouraging others to opt for an implant, to validate their own, now irreversible decision, to take the permanent step of an implant. In the non-implant sub-forums, those with ED are looking for information or sharing info on ED with those in the same situation and for solutions less drastic than an implant. It would seem intuitive to visit the Implant sub-forum if you want implant information.

It appears, under the disguise of helping and sharing, some implanted members are encouraging non-implanted members to take that final and permanent step, to justify or validate their own difficult and now irreversible decision to get an implant.

Don't get upset. I'm not bashing implants. I think they are a miracle cure for those that truly need them and are one of the coolest inventions ever. I don't rule one out for my future, but not yet.

Sorry Paul, I know you don't like me shrinking forum members. Go ahead and shrink me now.

I use an osbon ring and love it. Its tight and you have to take it off after 30 min and massage your dick to get the blood flowing again. After a few minutes you can pump again. I get rock hard with one medium ring medium strength and it's perfect. The rings are expensive but i have tried others which were junk. I bought a cheaper vacuum and it works great too. I have not been to the doctors yet, that appointment is in November. I will discuss a pump (from what i hear it's covered by insurance) I will also talk to him about an implant, what he thinks what he recommends. I guess i am looking for some reassurance in my conviction on getting an implant eventually. I know I will tire of the pump because it hurts a little and it a nuisance. I think my wife will agree to that. But no complaint in the length, girth and hardness that I achieve with the pump. So get a osbon ring and get some information from your urologist about an implant. Have a few aces in the hole, it makes it easier in the long run to know you have choices.

Good Luck

I really don't think that is a completely fair statement. I think most of the implanted members, at one time injected. I did, and when it comes to speaking about injections, all I do is share my experience, which really a positive one. I agree that, if you have not tried it, you should, in most cases, prior to implant surgery. The first injection was given to me by a specialist in Toronto, considered by his colleagues, to be an expert. It hurt like hell and did not produce an erection hard enough for penetration.

A response to a post from 6 months ago that you already responded to 6 months ago?

pump because it hurts a little and it a nuisance.

It hurts a little. Have you tried one of these? I started experimenting with one because of info from a previous thread. I have found it helps a lot. Soak in hot water b4 use.
