New to forum

Postby LTCretired » Mon Nov 20, 2017 2:32 pm

Thanks for allowing me to join Frank Talk. Just had a prostate biopsy 4 days ago after an MRI found two lesions. One was PE RAD 4 AND One PE RAD 5. I hope to get results back today....at least by tomorrow, cause I don't wan't to have to wait through the Thanksgiving holiday. I have been reading this forum for a few days...just found it last Friday. Am glad to see all the discussions about what to expect. Other than the cancer fear, my biggest worry is incontinence...the second is of course ED. I hope to learn lots about how to handle both these and other problems that may come about if I have to have surgery. Being new to all this, some of the abbreviations and terms used are new to me, so please don't think I am stupid if I ask what something is.

Again, to the admins, thanks for adding me.
71 Years old. Married 50 years. Prostate biopsy 11/16/17 Results: Out of 26 core samples, 1 had a very low grade cancer. Doctor said if it had been any lower grade I would not even have cancer. Gleason was 6 (3+3)( Grade group 1). Watching.

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

I will create a more detailed sig after I hear from the biopsy. Until then, I really have no questions.
