Sensation was zero immediately after implant. It was totally numb. Now after nine months post implant, sensation is exactly the same as it was prior to my implant and my radical prostatectomy. Orgasms are more intense and last much longer after radical prostatectomy and have stayed the same higher intensity after the implant.

My experience has been different. My orgasms were very weak after my radical prostatectomy in March 2014 and remained so up to the time of my implant. I had my implant in November 2015. Immediately post implant my sensation and orgasms were the same as post-radical prostatectomy. However, as each month progresses, sensation and the intensity of orgasms have increased. I still am not where I was prior to my radical prostatectomy, but things are significantly better now almost six months post-implant than they were immediately pre-implant.

He told me that "it won't be the same" as far as sensation and sensitivity are concerned.
Would like to get some feedback on what your experience was pre and post-op....preferably from those of you who were able to function on some level just previous to the procedure with trimix, viagra etc.
Thanks!

No loss of sensation with the pills. However, they all but stopped working after a while and gave me terrible headaches. The trimix did not result in any loss of sensation but I felt a constant ache in my penis while erect. Eventually, I had to take stronger doses and they were likewise less effective. I have noticed just a tiny loss of sensation/sensitivity since the implant, very tiny, but that could be due to age (I'm 58) and not the implant. This is probably a good thing anyway because I've always been a great big ball of sexual energy. The result of this tiny loss has been it takes me a bit longer to orgasm, which I like very much. At 28 I was good for a couple of shots at night. At 58, it's one shot and I'm ready to fall asleep.

My case is similar to KMeister.
I think I have lost some sensation. Especially noticeable when just touching my shaft in non-sexual situations. Definitely more numb. Not by much, but definitely a noticeable difference.
However when having sex, this lesser sensitivity is not only bad. Sensitivity is still by fare enough to make it very enjoyable. But it also means I can go a little harder for a little longer. Which is good.
Orgasms are stronger than before. Don't know why, but it has been like that since the first time I had sex post-op.
Glans sensitivity has not changed, it is only the skin of the shaft which has been affected.

Overall, the trade of slightly less shaft sensitivity for stronger orgasms is a good one, but no big issue because the differences are small.

Post implant surgery in Sep 2014, my penis was fairly numb, but I was told the nerve tissue would regrow. I regain full sensation between 10 and 12 months. Today, 19 months out, I have full sensation again and my orgasms are probably a bit stronger. I think the big difference is not having a natural erection is a bit different in feel, but its much better than a soft erection or poor performance. And despite what the ladies may tell you, they want a man who can sexually perform when they are ready for sex.

Before the implant the hand held shower could be electifying. One could almost get off on that with enough time. Tonight I noticed the only thing I notice is the change in temperature. The penile nerve is on the dorsal side. That is between the tubing with infrapubic installation and directly behind the tubing wad and incision made to install the reservoir. I say infrapubic in this case is part of the numbness issue. For all I know the nerve looks like a chopped carrot now or squashed like a burger patty.

Sounds like it's not the infrapubic procedure in this case per se but the skill of the surgeon who utilized it. If I barbecue and burn the food it's the fault of the cook, not the grill.

I think the entire methodology of infrapubic is flawed and should be reserved for certain cases only. Just the idea that the body is made for everything to hang down but infrapubic installs the tubing exiting the cavernosas on the top side and then wraps them around to hand down if they can reach that far and crossing the very nerves we want to preserve. I am sure an extra skill set is required to protect those nerves that have nothing getting close to them in a scrotal approach. If you have lots of lard growing in the crisco can above your pecker then that in itself may offer some cushion to protect the nerves but if not, slapping 3 tubes on top of them does not seem a good idea. The pluses to infrapubic are, avoiding possible scrotal bacteria, ease of reservoir installation in an obese person or one with hernia mesh. Once you get past those issues, I find nothing but disadvantages, a list that is long and the reasons some doctors will not do infrapubic.

I asked Milam to do scrotal and he refused. Stupid Stupid me. I wanted this done so bad I relented. Regretted it since about 5 hours after surgery. It is the first thing that my mind winds up on every single time I wake up the many times I do a night. It is all I think about when I have it pumped up hard as the issues become more obvious. I am sure there are many other problems I could be solving besides a fucked up dick and hope one day it is over so I can move past it.
