I have answers: TEP, Rigicon, Expandables, Pump Position etc etc

The final frontier. Deciding when, if and how.

When I had my Rigicon implanted in 2023 they said it was the best on the market and they no longer implanted anything else, now that it has to come out the replacement will not be any sort of Rigicon but what he called a "Boston", so obviously the Rigicons are not as well-regarded as they once were.
I will likely be unconscious the next time I meet the surgeon.

Sounds like you will be getting Boston Scientific AMS product. It could be an LGX or a CX.

That's what I thought also. If the objective is to replace the Rigicon Infla10 AX with the nearest Boston Scientific AMS equivalent, I'm guessing they would go with the LGX as it has similar claimed length and girth expansion properties.

FWIW I researched both the Rigicon Infla10 AX and the Boston Scientific AMS LGX for my own implant. My surgeon had done a lot of LGX procedures but was also implanting Rigicon at the time, and he thought the AX was a good option for me. I was very keen on getting the Rigicon but when I finally decided to go ahead he had gone off Rigicon as a couple of recent patients weren't happy with the results. I don't know the reasons but I then felt more comfortable going with the AMS LGX instead. At 11 weeks post op I'm really happy with it so far. Best wishes for your surgery.
70 y.o. married from Sydney Oz. PC and nerve sparing RRP 2022, but still profound ED since. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, VED. Finally implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal.
Recovery going well.

Anyway you could find out what his newly found reservations were with the Rigicon in the end?

splitpeach, unfortunately he has had to go overseas for several months due to family circumstances.
So I've had to defer my next follow up appointment from July to September.
I'm happy to ask him then but it might not be timely if you need the information sooner?

I'll likely not have my surgery before September so would still be helpful to me!

No worries, it's currently scheduled for Sep 1st. Give me a reminder late August.

Had my pre-op at Trafford General on Monday, and all my swabs, bloods etc have come back good, so just waiting for a date.
Onset of ED at age 46, no erection since, pills, VED , Injections, no luck, not even once.
Implanted 19.04.2023 in UK, with Rigicon Infla 10 AX, not functioning.
Waiting for date of revision for complete removal and replacement with AMX.

Did they tell you roughly how long it would be?
