My most significant pain and soreness has been when sitting on a chair upright. Especially the initial sit, or when standing up. ( getting into the car seat is also an adventure. I’m still taking Tylenol and ibuprofen.

Something that I have found that has made a big difference in the sitting game is a Coccyx Cushion, which has a void in about the right place. You can even put your ice pack or frozen peas right in the void, which as I said, is at about the right place.

I got a foam one from Wal Mart, and Amazon has a bunch, including inflatables.

Yes,great suggestion. I have something similar. It made sitting in the car possible/ bearable.

Day 13

Just back from my first post op doctor visit. He said I am healing perfectly, and ahead of schedule. He was very happy with how my pump is sitting in a great position and how little bruising and swelling I have. I was a slave to frozen peas and it helped, as well as the gentle lymphatic massage.

He helped me find and understand the orientation of the pump and then pumped me up slightly and deflated twice to confirm the pump is working and to show me how to do it.

He said I can try pumping a little, and deflate, in a warm bath or shower, but to give it until next weekend to pump it so that it’s intercourse ready. He said I could consider trying sex at that point if I was comfortable. He did say that I would likely feel some discomfort when first pumping, but that will diminish pretty quickly.

It’s not been the easiest two weeks, but at this point I’m feeling pretty happy that I made this decision. It also helps that I have a loving* and kind woman who is compiling a list of all the things she’s going to do to me in the near future! Woo hoo!

I’m day 6 post op. Still pretty sore, my sack is not happy having a grenade inside. My penis doesn’t seem sore, but it doesnt get moved around much. I’m happy I’m sleeping, and napping too. The soreness is manageable with 600mg ibuprofen. I’ve still got general swelling, but seems to be receding a bit.

I drove to the store and picked up light groceries. It felt good to do something not lying on my back.

So, based on all I’ve read here, it seems like my recovery is pretty typical so far.

Sounds like you're on the right path to healing. I had a very rough time with issues for 13 days but that was over two years ago. Cycle, (Perito youtube) patience and you'll be up(literally) before you know it. Welcome to the club.

Progress update. I’m at day 18 post op and feeling very good.

I don’t feel much discomfort sitting down, standing up, wearing jeans etc etc now. Woo Hoo!

Today was a milestone:

I just sat in the bath and I’m a pretty happy guy!

I was able to easily find my pump, my doc did a great job putting it at the bottom is my scrotum and I easily identified the deflate button. I then decided to try it out.

I squeezed the bulb, heard the valve pop sound and then put in about six pumps, without any pain at all, other than a pinchy hurt where I squeezed the pump through my scrotal tissue.

My boy was pretty firm, with a noticeable increase in girth and length. I sat in the bath, manipulating it side to side and up and down for a while and then easily found and pressed the deflate button.

I’m going to guess that next time I do it, and pump 10 times, I’m going to feel more discomfort, but I’m pretty encouraged about it tonight!

It's really great to hear that you're recovering well. I had the surgery 9 days after you. Today I had a check-up. The doctor says the place looks good. But in the meantime, he told me not to inflate until the next checkup in a month. I'm curious if you feel a change in the sensation of your penis ?

I have had no change in the sensation from my penis.

As a matter of fact, I’m finding myself getting aroused, and significantly so. What is really interesting is that I still have the same warm tingly sensation that you feel when you start to get erect. Of course the shaft is not getting erect, but the head of my penis gets a little plumper, because it still gets some blood filling. I swear I can feel that!

What’s really cool is that I can relax and enjoy these feelings because my mind is free of that dark cloud of worry about not being able to get and sustain an erection. My girl and I can’t wait to begin using it, and week four check up today. I wonder if I get the green light for some sexual activity?

Just had my 4 week visit with my surgeon.

He pumped me up pretty good, we could hear the muffled sound of the implant un crinkling as the fluid filled the cylinders. My penis was at 90 degrees from my belly, sticking straight out and easily hard enough for intercourse. I felt no pain in the penis, but a little pinchy on the scrotum where the pump bulb was squeezed. As expected, my doc said the more you cycle, the better, and the more you cycle, the more your penis will be stretched, both in girth and to a lesser degree, length.

Note: the pump bulb feels like a marble, it’s hard and doesn’t feel like it moves much when you squeeze it, but it’s definitely moving fluid from the reservoir into the cylinders. The pump on a key chain I was given is very easy to squeeze in comparison because it’s pushing air, not fluid. My message is don’t be surprised, and don’t be afraid, to really squeeze hard on the pump bulb!

I left the office today told that I have no remaining restrictions. I can have sex, lift things, bike and resume other physical activities without any concerns. He said I have healed very well, and somewhat ahead of schedule.

Looks like tonight will be my first post op intercourse, and the first intercourse I have had over the past 10 years without the worry of not getting and/or not sustaining an erection!

Ephi82, congrats on your 4 week visit ! I see you have the AMS CX -- do you have the MS or Tenacio pump ?

What was your girth before implantation and what is it now?
37 years old. In the past, an active and very athletic guy, suffered after vein ligation. After that, I tried embolization, which did not help. Now I am choosing between CX and Titan

Ephi, that’s great that you’ve healed up quick, you must have had the infrapubic install since you’ve been cleared for sex. I had to wait till 6 weeks for clearance, but I waited till week 8 because I still had pain. I has the penoscrotal install.
Let us know how it goes!
Are you a cyclist since you ride a bike? I’m on Strava the cycling app.

Great update!
Keep healing up,
