Dr Perito and Dr Antonini both contributed to a study on post-op VED use for implant patients. Can one, or some, of you patients of theirs please ask them these two questions?
1. Is there any chance of the VED softening the axial rigidity of the implant? Particularly the AMS?
2. What should the protocol of VED use be? (Fully inflated or just partially, how long, how many times daily, etc.)
I think we'd all benefit from this info. Thanks!

All I can tell you is that Perito told me it was okay to VED inflated. I used it over a one year period along with cycling for a one year period twice per day and then I stopped per his instructions. Did this once per day for 15 minutes.

Did you have the AMS? Also, did you notice the erection angle change at all? And were you fully inflated when you did it?

I posted in a different thread that I had read contradictory information on the web. Some doctors discourage the use of a VED after the surgery because it may damage the various components.
So how did using the VED feel for you? Did you feel the rim of the VED rub against the tubing connecting the pump to the reservoir or the cylinders?
Any new type of discomfort that you did not used to feel prior to the surgery?

I think I'll err on the safe side and just abandon use of it. I haven't felt much discomfort. The VED definitely squeezes on the tubing at the base of my penis. I have a thick silicone cushion there, but it's a tight squeeze. It doesn't seem to have had any effect so far, but I also don't want to shorten the life span of the device.
The VED had been useful because, at least in my mind, it may help extend my penis tip, but that probably won't make a difference in where my cylinders end.

Coloplast Titan One Touch. Yes fully inflated and the suction angled it usually against the side of the tube. I always had it on high. At times it would be painful so i lowered the suction.

But after all that VED use, the erection angle was not effected once you were done using it?
Also, while you were using it, did the rim silicone or whatever cushion you had press against the tubing?

It took some adjusting At first because I had it on high it sucked in my balls and that hurt like hell. I learned how to place it properly so that didn't happen. I just didn't know til that happened and no the ved did not chnane the shape at all. No issues with the tubing during or afterwards.
Re: For the patients of Dr Perito and Dr Antonini...
I was told VED use was okay after receiving clearance as long as I was fully inflated. Would point out there is a VED discussion link in the menu. It has a lot of good advice.
Second IPP Titan / Genesis. Experienced pretty much everything negative up to implant. Lost @ 2 inches from plication and atrophy. Willing to show and tell just an ordinary penis. Wish I had IPP much sooner.
