Advise needed on my Day 8 of titan implant

Postby str84wd » Mon Aug 28, 2023 1:22 am

Hello to all bionic men here!

I got my 19cm titan implant 9 days ago and will be VERY grateful to hear from those who experienced implantation.

As of day 7 to 9 I'm getting consistent pain on my glans and it feels like a needle being inserted and pain killers are not doing anything! Is this normal part of the healing process?

My Dr told me that the size I got is kinda above average as I'm around 16-17cm when hard. Could it be oversized ? Do I need to correct it ? Very worried about getting through another surgery..I hope not!

Thanks in advance for those who are willing to share their thoughts based on experience.

At 9 days, it's much too early to get worried.
Everyone seems to have a different recovery.
Unless you have signs of infection, just be patient. The pain will get better with time.
Age 59. AMS 700 LGX 21cm + 2cm RTE.
Peniscrotal, 2/23.
6.25" OEM with Cialis, about 5" post-op. (11/01: Length 6.75" and girth is up to 4.75" mid shaft.) Still growing, albeit slowly. :D
Cycling daily. Hoping to get to 7". ;)

The day after surgery, when my surgeon came into my hospital room to remove the catheter, I commented that it felt like the head of my penis was caught in a vise. He deflated me a little and it felt a little better. I suspect the pain you feel is like that and will subside as your tissues stretch. This opinion depends on what degree of inflation your surgeon left in your implant. Do you know? I was at 80% (he said) and reduced to about 75%. He did not seem concerned at all about erosion or any sort of tissue damage from compression or over-stretching.

So, I agree with BigDave, who posted while I was composing my response. You might just call your surgeon or assistant/nurse on the phone for some reassurance. I did when I peed some blood clots (aftereffect of the catheterization). It was no big deal to them.

Second edit. My penis head continued to feel like it was caught in a vise, but not as badly as at first. This, despite moderate use of opiate-based pain killers.

Many thanks for your reply. I honestly don't know which degree but I'm inflated to a point where I can have an intercourse (not that I'm interested with such amount of pain) the pain is being consistent mainly on day 9 for the past 10 hrs! Prior to that it was on/off

In my opinion, your dr has mislead you about your Titan at 19cm is above average. Before my surgery I watched the installed length of implants. You must count the implant plus any Rte's. Its my opinion the the most common total size is around 21/22 cm's.

You should ask for a stronger painkiller. Have you been cleared to take shower? A hot shower really helps. Keep using heating pad and eat painkillers if pain is unbearable. I don't find any logic in avoiding painkillers in the first 2-3 weeks. Why suffer when you can easily control pain (unless you have other conditions which make it risky with pain meds)

Also, it is totally normal to have pain in the first few weeks. You may feel even more pain in glans once you will start cycling. I had extreme amount of pain after I used to be deflated post cycling. But it subsequently got better with time. Within days the pain was gone altogether.

So sit back, relax, use heating pad and eat your pain meds. You will be fine!

Many thanks, thats comforting to hear that pain is normal! My Dr. is not quite talkative. I will ask as I'm taking brufen and its not working! Yes, I can take shower and will try the hott shower too. I was worried to experiment since I tried icee badges and it made my seroma worse.

Readytogo
The reason that 21 -22 is the norm is because 1/3 of rhe implant is in the crus and doesn’t count toward what you see. This has been discussed many times in the past.
