Here is something else that I remembered about the importance of cycling. You need to make sure that you totally deflate your penile implant tubes of all the saline solution back into the reservoir. This is necessary so that the space where the reservoir is placed can accept all the saline from the tubes, if not then the tubes will not be able be totally deflated because the surgical capsule will have formed around a object that it thinks is small.

I could feel my reservoir for a good while after surgery, especially when I squeezed all the fluid out of my penile implant tubes.

Like you, I've got the Titan Touch. Mine does not squeak.

As you mentioned in another thread, the Classic was a known noise maker. Men have said it's really loud; loud a sex partner to hear.

Nothing's perfect but, even if your Titan Touch squeaks a bit, it shouldn't squeak w/each pump and it shouldn't be so loud that anyone else can hear, which was the case w/the Classic.

I hope that's the situation in your case.

Thanks a lot, I hope so. I am a bit worried, but hey, made it this far, and the result is good.

As always, appreciate your advice.

My doc suggested 2x/day for 30 mins each session in a hot bath to start. This suggestion was made mainly for comfort. The shorter time is easier to tolerate and the hot bath is very soothing.

Someone else's doc here forbade him from sitting in a hot tub for (as I recall) around 6 wks for fear of infection but, if your incisions are fully healed, I don't see the problem.

I never had any problem taking the baths starting only 9 days postop.

If you can't tolerate more than 30 mins cycling, then just do as much as you can, and then work up to longer times.

IMO, the longer that you can keep your impant inflated w/o significant pain or discomfort, the better, but there's a practical limit on how long anyone can walk around w/a boner.

The length of my cycling sessions currently vary between 1-1.5 hour; 2x/day.

I started cycling doing the 2 hot baths in the AM & PM, then went to just 1 hot bath in the morning and today was the 1st day that I didn't take a bath at all.

Just finished a 1 hr 10 min cycling session this morning w/o the bath. The baths are "nice" and relaxing but I don't need them anymore because I do not feel very much discomfort in my dick while cycling anymore.

I sometimes feel some discomfort after cycling (especially when I've used my VED) and, if I do, I just take some Tylenol & Ibuprofen to take the edge off.

This is what I do. Hope it helps inform your choice for how you choose to cycle.

Goodl luck!

I agree with this advice from swinsfba, his cycling technique is very close to advanced cycling that are out on FrankTalk.
My military doc wanted me to inflate to maximum that I could pump 10 minutes 2 times a day in the shower.
The main reason for cycling is to prevent the surgical capsule forming too soon around the implant limiting the full use of the implant at 100%.
(Capsule formation is a Potential Postoperative risk of an inflatable penile implant surgery. If no cycling (successive cycles of penile implant inflation and deflation) occurs soon after surgery, penis size may be reduced due to the growth of a psuedo-capsule around the inflatable cylinders.

I have read several of the cycling techniques that are out there on FrankTalk

When I healed enough, I started taking warm sits baths.
I would inflate to 50% and stretch my penis left, right, up and down for about 5 minutes, I would leave it at this level of inflation for 10 to 20 minutes.
Then I would inflate to the maximum that I could pump it to, which varied over time. No stretching at this level, I would just sit in the warm bath as long as I could, with a considerable amount of pain the last 5 minutes of the bath. This varied also, at first I could only do about 35 minutes until it started hurting really bad, then I got to 45 minutes and then to 60 minutes.
I would do this at least once a day with my shower cycling that the doc told me to do. We are empty nesters so it was easier for me to accomplish the sits baths. I would do this while my wife was out in the neighborhood doing her morning or evening walk or if she went shopping.
Some guys heal quicker than other guys and don't have as much pain.
I had a lot of pain for several months in my shaft and at the end of the implant tubes in my glans.
I would say for me it was around 4 to 6 months out when it started getting better.
Now that I'm 16 months out from surgery, I don't have any pain pumped to the max for over an hour. I can pump to 60 which is pretty hard but I can do half pumps all the way up to 70 or 80 and it is rock, rock hard. My penis starts to tilt upwards after I pass 60 pumps which is sort of like my natural erection when I was in my 20's and 30's.
I still do at least one cycle a day now that I'm 16 months out from surgery. I pump it to the max in the shower and after the shower I'll try to get in a few more half pumps and then shave with it fully inflated.

Good Luck on your Journey!

I'm not an expert but you can PM anytime

That's great advice, appreciate it.

Can't wait for cycling to become less painful.

This is what I am a bit worried about, deflating is a struggl, I can't even tell if I am fully deflated. I was also inflated 80% for 5 weeks, doc was suppose to partially deflate me 3 weeks post-surgery but he went on holiday and the practice would not give me anotheer appt. I am worried that the 80% inflation for 5 weeks is going to cause the reservoir to heal (form a capsule) with less fluid, causing auto-inflation when I try to deflate fully.

J,

I don't have a Coloplast Titan, but I've read on FrankTalk the way that the erection tubes will auto inflate just a little bit after deflation for that brand of IPP.
Here is what I do with my Boston Scientific AMS 700 LGX. I hold the deflate button down 8 seconds to make sure that the tubes are deflating. On the AMS pump, it makes a buzzing/humming sound when the tubes are deflating, when it stops making the sound, I'll press the deflate button again to make sure that the pump valve is open to the reservoir (This is when the pump is new) and I'll take my hand a squeeze the remaining saline out of the tubes until I can't hear the pump making any buzzing sound, and then I know that the erection tubes are totally empty. I can also tell by the way my penis hangs if it is totally deflated, because it feels like a natural flaccid penis. (I've read that with the Titan it still feels like you have a partial slightly inflated penis)

I have found the pump activated sometimes but very rarely, because when I reach down to activate the pump, I can tell that it is already activated because it doesn't make that small pop sound. (This is very rare for the AMS pump). I'm thinking that when I have some tighter jeans on that my ball sack is squeezed and the pump is slightly squeezed and it activates the pump, with maybe just one pump of saline.

I also ride a Road Bike and I wear Jockey Sport briefs (sort of like a jock strap that keeps my boys secure and tight) under my cycling bib shorts. I've found that sometimes, but very rarely it will activate during a cycle ride.

I would say the first 4 to 6 months is crucial to make sure that the surgical capsule is formed correctly around the tubes and the reservoir.
I was the same as you, the doc had me at 50 percent inflated after the surgery and that was for 6 weeks. And then I went for device training, which hurt like heck. I know that I didn't deflate the tubes 100 percent that day or many days afterward because it hurt like heck to squeeze my penis real tight to get all the fluid out.

I just kept doing what the doc told me to do about inflating and deflating on a daily basis in the shower.

4 Months in Coloplast Titan and having a blast. At the beginning of cycling the pump was rock solid whereas today its soft and easy to pump. I cycle daily and have had a bit of length growth and the girth growth Im shocked how its grown. Sometimes if I'm fully pumped the misses can feel the implant. The other night i pumped less, she was satisfied and it seems that lately mine is feeling better and better each time. The orgasms are great too. GL with yours.

First week cycling and I’m at the point where the bulb is rock hard and I can only get a few pumps in. Looking forward to the bulb softening up over the next several months and being able to get more pumps in. Hoping to regain length and and width as well. Early in the process and length is definitely lacking but I’m going to be patient and trust the process and cycle as aggressively as possible.

Doctor instructions are all over the board. Mine had me start cycling at two weeks, for 20 min, once per day.

My surgeon said inflate it 1 to 2 hours daily for two years and I am very pleased with the size and comfort level. Give yourself time to heal and take it easy. About 9 mos later I regained all size.
