Cycling advice

Postby aussiePeyronies » Fri Mar 17, 2023 2:21 am

I just got the go ahead to start cycling, about 5 weeks post surgery.

I am doing 1 x 45m sessions, pumping until the bulb will not squeeze (about 50 pumps, some are half pumps). Thinking of changing to 2 x 30m sessions

The pain is pretty excruciating, I am putting up with it for the simple reason to regain length/girth.

Is there any recommendations on optimal cycling times etc?

My doc didn't give too much advice on cycling at all.

Thanks,
J

Your doctor should have given you instructions. Contact your doctors office. That is what they were paid for.

Call titan. YouTube their product re cycling. Don't stress. Get your partner going and it won't hurt maybe. Daily is fine. Double time better. Good luck. Remember that working but a bit shorter is 100 percent better than ed

Don’t hurt yourself. You shouldn’t be feeling acute pain, just a stretch so uncomfortable that you know you couldn’t fuck with it. It’s rehab/physical therapy. Over time your previous uncomfortable stretch will become your new normal. Then repeat the process.

i pump up to a relatively comfortable 80-85%. Hold it :30. Pump up to 90-95%. That sucks. Hold it :10. Pump it to very (white knuckle) uncomfortable for 2-3 minutes. Deflate. 2-3 times daily.

It’s coming back.

when I pump no noise, when I let it refill from the tank a slight hum, but little stuff, no one will notice

I do not believe that there are any "standard" rules for cycling.

My doc suggested 2x/day for 30 mins each session in a hot bath to start. This suggestion was made mainly for comfort. The shorter time is easier to tolerate and the hot bath is very soothing.

Someone else's doc here forbade him from sitting in a hot tub for (as I recall) around 6 wks for fear of infection but, if your incisions are fully healed, I don't see the problem.

I never had any problem taking the baths starting only 9 days postop.

If you can't tolerate more than 30 mins cycling, then just do as much as you can, and then work up to longer times.

IMO, the longer that you can keep your impant inflated w/o significant pain or discomfort, the better, but there's a practical limit on how long anyone can walk around w/a boner.

The length of my cycling sessions currently vary between 1-1.5 hour; 2x/day.

I started cycling doing the 2 hot baths in the AM & PM, then went to just 1 hot bath in the morning and today was the 1st day that I didn't take a bath at all.

Just finished a 1 hr 10 min cycling session this morning w/o the bath. The baths are "nice" and relaxing but I don't need them anymore because I do not feel very much discomfort in my dick while cycling anymore.

I sometimes feel some discomfort after cycling (especially when I've used my VED) and, if I do, I just take some Tylenol & Ibuprofen to take the edge off.

This is what I do. Hope it helps inform your choice for how you choose to cycle.

Goodl luck!

Like you, I've got the Titan Touch. Mine does not squeak.

As you mentioned in another thread, the Classic was a known noise maker. Men have said it's really loud; loud enough for a sex partner to hear.

Nothing's perfect but, even if your Titan Touch squeaks a bit, it shouldn't squeak w/each pump and it shouldn't be so loud that anyone else can hear, which was the case w/the Classic.

I hope that's the situation in your case.

I agree with this advice from swinsfba, his cycling technique is very close to advanced cycling that are out on FrankTalk.
My military doc wanted me to inflate to maximum that I could pump 10 minutes 2 times a day in the shower.
The main reason for cycling is to prevent the surgical capsule forming too soon around the implant limiting the full use of the implant at 100%.
(Capsule formation is a Potential Postoperative risk of an inflatable penile implant surgery. If no cycling (successive cycles of penile implant inflation and deflation) occurs soon after surgery, penis size may be reduced due to the growth of a psuedo-capsule around the inflatable cylinders.

I have read several of the cycling techniques that are out there on FrankTalk

When I healed enough, I started taking warm sits baths.
I would inflate to 50% and stretch my penis left, right, up and down for about 5 minutes, I would leave it at this level of inflation for 10 to 20 minutes.
Then I would inflate to the maximum that I could pump it to, which varied over time. No stretching at this level, I would just sit in the warm bath as long as I could, with a considerable amount of pain the last 5 minutes of the bath. This varied also, at first I could only do about 35 minutes until it started hurting really bad, then I got to 45 minutes and then to 60 minutes.
I would do this at least once a day with my shower cycling that the doc told me to do. We are empty nesters so it was easier for me to accomplish the sits baths. I would do this while my wife was out in the neighborhood doing her morning or evening walk or if she went shopping.
Some guys heal quicker than other guys and don't have as much pain.
I had a lot of pain for several months in my shaft and at the end of the implant tubes in my glans.
I would say for me it was around 4 to 6 months out when it started getting better.
Now that I'm 16 months out from surgery, I don't have any pain pumped to the max for over an hour. I can pump to 60 which is pretty hard but I can do half pumps all the way up to 70 or 80 and it is rock, rock hard. My penis starts to tilt upwards after I pass 60 pumps which is sort of like my natural erection when I was in my 20's and 30's.
I still do at least one cycle a day now that I'm 16 months out from surgery. I pump it to the max in the shower and after the shower I'll try to get in a few more half pumps and then shave with it fully inflated.

Good Luck on your Journey!
