Any good lawyers in Indiana that can help me with my botched Implant surgeries? Read below to see why!!

Urology of Indiana and Dr. KOVAC (September 2022 got terminated and his license revoked) has put me in the worst spot a man could ever be in! Ive had 2 botch surgeries and the last 2 yrs and the last one a yr ago.. has me in the worst pain I could ever be in! Oct 2020 within 3 weeks called to go over a concern I had with my rt side only at base. It literally felt like a bic pen was underneath and was so sharp to the point. I had edema (water swelling) for 1st 5 months and now realize that was because of my botched surgery. I repeatedly told my doctor how bad this was.. he would just say it just needs to heal. It really affected me and pretty much has me in pain levels of a 9-10 24/7! So finally August 3rd, 2021 I made an appt as I got this done far away as I know do many golks in my town... knew most likely someone would recognize me and wow.. i really wanted to avoid that at all cost! So not even 2 minutes at my appt. DR. KOVAC said wow! This isnt good and needs Immediate attention as its about to pop out!! Wtf.... after all the x I emailed and text pics of this not being right... he finally realized I wasnt playing around when I said this is Bad! I have a MRI done 2.5 weeks later... his office didnt contact me till October 4th and scheduled me Oct 21st... so even though he saw how much pain I was in, his office took there sweet little time! I, 3 days later have Dr. KOVAC CALL ME and I had a very detailed conversation going over my repair surgery. I told him just like if a car ran over a waterhose and just parked in that same spot for a whole yr.. when the car moved that hose would be deformed and kinked up, much like my rt side implant is. I told him Verbatim I do not want this repaired.. I want a whole new one as this isnt right. Well that morning he came in after I got my 1st round of drugs came and said Im gonna 1st try a repair if it can be done and if not we will do a new one. I told him NO.. I wanted it out and replaced right in front of my wife. She said my surgery was 30 minutes long and when I came too. He said he fixed it by "fortifying" it! Wtf. Does that really even mean!?? I wanted to punch him but was in so much pain!
So literally 2 weeks later I feel down there, and OMG now there are 2 points.. not one! I immediately called and broke down this isnt right and now Im worst off! He did the same .. just let it heal!
I went to 2 other local urologist and both said they didnt want to touch my problem as it was something they didnt feel comfortable doing for how bad it was!! Im like wow... I cant even find a doctor to try and help me! After many tries ,i found Dr. ANELLE at UofL and he is amazing and had me get a new MRI in March 2022. He said that the surgeon put correct 20cm size on left which I have no issues with, but my right side was deeper and needed either a 22cm or a couple of Rtes to make up that room. So thats why it is trying to pop out as its just hanging there and didnt go to the bottom where they should go! Now I am a small business owner that has the worst State issued Obama care that wont cover not one ED related issue! None! So I am stuck in this much pain and have no way to get help! My replace and renew surgery would be over 80k! It would be the AMS 700 and my new doctor said it should have been pushed more for me as Im a skinny and tall guy and he said those had minor to no dogears like the 20cm titan I have.
I called over 50 different lawyers as I feel this is worth a malpractice as he didnt do what normal surgeons would do... like put the correct size in and be better at correction instead of a quick 30 minute fix!
Sorry for such a long breakdown! I have a lot of friends and family... but i have Absolutely No one to talk to as I havent let one person besides my wife know about this. They all think it was kidney stone surgery as again... I dont know how to tell any of my friends about this! That why Franktalk is the best place to go to for answers and support! Thanks for any help !

Just like you I had several revisions and infections due to my surgeons incompetence. I called many lawyers and they told me that it was almost impossible to win a malpractice case. I feel the same as you that I was put in a bad place and in pain for so long. I hope you can find a lawyer that will take your case but I didn’t have any luck even in a sue happy state of California. I have learned my lesson to always go with a high volume trusted surgeon. If I had done that I would have prevented all my hard ache

Yours is truly an alarming tale. You have my sympathies.

I don't have the statistics to bzck up this belief, but I believe it nonetheless. Most lawyers do not earn their keep by trail work, but by negotiation. A sharp lawyer (my guess) would be able to get in touch with any insurance companies that held the malpractice policy(ies) covering Kr Kovac and Urology of Indiana and negotiate a settlement that would go a long way to getting you to a surgeon truly qualified to repair other surgeons' failures. And it doesn't have to be money, but whoever replaced Dr Kovac (hopefully FULLY qualified) might be willing to take on the job to protect the clinic's reputation. The clinic has a strong interest in that and might be willing to pick up a bigger tab than a cash settlement. A lawyer who is a good negotiator should be a big help here.

Two surgeons that come to mind (because they are mentioned here often and also because I communicated with both of them and found them to be caring and expert individuals). Dr Eid in New York and Dr Kramer in Maryland. The do a LOT of fixing of other surgeons mistakes. But there are plenty of experts in the midwest, as well. Dr Bruce Garber comes to mind (he has published about implants). When you do talk to a surgeon about a replacement/revision, be sure to ask how may such fixes he/she has done.

Since you are essentially uninsured and likely sill be paying on your own, Coloplast (and AMS) have programs to ease the financial burdens of self-pay patients and many doctors offices arrange payment plans. There is also such a thing as "medical credit cards" that ease the burden. I know nothing of the medical cards except that they exist. Others here know a lot more than I.

Good luck. Keep up the good fight. A few hundred dollars invested in a lawyer's consultation does not commit you to a suit and might open up othher options than my meager experience knows of.

You might get more responses if you post this in the implant section.

Is your problem visible with pictures? I think that would help understand what's going on

Thanks so much for that breakdown. That truly makes a lot since! I will start by calling the titan and AMS companies to just see what they think I should start with.
