So heres my story. i´ve never had any erectile problems, i´ve been sexually active since 13 yo and a lot of masturbation because my penis was always hard. I had a lot of morning eretions. So one day i met this girl and we had this awful relationship that lead me to have trouble sleeping during a month after the breakup. I had always been against the use of medications for depression or other types of drugs in my state, but my mother and my terapist said that i should try it. So i went to a psychiatrist and she gave me DONAREN to use before going to bed. I asked her if that was going to take my libido out and she said it was not a commom reaction to that kind of medication. So i used it and boom: priapism. probably about 10 hours of the hardest and painful erection i´ve ever had. it has been one year since the priapism and after that my erections were never the same, and i never had any morning erections. i´ve come to 3 urologists. all of them said it was psychological. My third urologist made an ultrassound with the flaccid penis and found nothing. Today i´ve done a MRI of the penis with contrast. I cant use injections due the risk of another priapism. I want to know the experience of the young man with implants. please contact me, i dont know if i just kill myself or go into this painful and solitary journey. Its so sad to have to deal with this at such a young age.

Hey man, my story seems pretty similar to yours. You can check my story here. Trazodone really fucked us up and they should outlaw that evil drug forever: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=19807

I went through a bunch of your posts and you seem to be having on again off again success with pills to varying degrees. I'm in a similar boat. Like you, my uros (I have two that I confer with) ensure me that I'm okay. And, thinking about it, I don't think our dicks would work one day then not the other. My uros tell me the tissue is either damaged beyond repair and can't receive blood or it's not, there's not any in between. There can be damage that can heal, but there is a point of no return. I don't think our dicks got to the point of no return since we can still achieve erections with or without pills. So how are things going for you these days?

Also, just wanted to be clear, when you say you had a 10 hour priapism, do you mean you fell asleep with a boner, slept for 10 hours, then woke up and still had one and it went away? Or did you wake up with a boner that then lasted for 10 hours? Did it go away on its own or did you need to go the ER?

Let me know if you have any questions for me. I'm here if you ever need to talk while we work on our journey together. Stay strong, brother.

Also, I found this post on Reddit that made me feel a lot better. After reading this I went from 20 mg cialis or 100 mg viagra not working at all to 15 mg cialis working for 24 hours. It's a bunch of guys who took Trazodone that gave them a priapism that lasted way longer than ours that had a full recovery. Maybe it will help you, too https://www.reddit.com/r/TooAfraidToAsk ... u_and_how/

Likewise, this should make you feel better, too https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl ... ction%2013.

If ischaemic priapism is reversed within 24 hours, there is usually a recovery of erectile function in approximately 50% of patients, while a duration of more than 36 hours of the priapism episode is invariably associated with a degree of corporal fibrosis and erectile dysfunction

My uro tells me every patient he's had that had a priapism under 12 hours has fully recovered. We are our own worst enemies in this (other than Trazodone which I curse every single day of my life). The sheer panic and dread we feel leading up to sex kills our boners and we just have to overcome it.

yeah, i had success with my ex gf, i think because she was hot and understand the situation. i also loved her vey much. But we broke up. Since then, i had 4 girls: 1 it was ok i could fuck, the others i wouldnt say that. But yeah, my depression got really bad, and im masturbating compulsively with a semi rigid penis. I can feel the dent, the left side of my penis has flattened. I really dont know what to do. before priapism i was able to masturbate 4 times a day and fuck in the same day. Now i cant masturbate if i want to have sex.
Ive been in bed for 6 months now, very depressed. Eat 1 time a day, try to sleep the entire day so i dont need to deal with this shitty thing.

i woke up with a painful erection, wich means i was at least with a 4 hour erection. After that, i tried to solve the situation by my own, for another 6 hours. It went down by its own. I used ice.

i read your posts, if your erection wasnt painful it has no damage. The pain is caused by muscle cells dying

i belive that, i could fuck my ex for 1 year without nothing, then i needed the pills, and now they are not working, not even alone.

My erection was uncomfortable, I wouldn't call it "painful". Like, on a scale on 1-10, mine was a 1, maybe a 2. It just felt really hard and inflated My uros tell me it would really hurt like and 8+ and that's what I've read elsewhere online. How painful would you say it was for you?

Man, if your penis was working for a year after I think you're good, bro. It doesn't keep deteriorating after the injury. I have specifically asked that question to 2 uros, 2 ER docs and my primary. They said damaged tissue can be repaired up to a certain point. Like frostbite. There is a point of no return where the tissue is just dead, but damaged tissue can heal or be repaired. And, if you're right and can feel the scar tissue in a specific spot, they can repair that like they do for penile fractures. Have you had a uro look at what you think the scar tissue is? It might be nothing.

Also, major depression causes ED. And there's lots of guys that have had 10 hour priapisms that heal just fine. 50% of dudes that get their priapism down within 24 hours heal, and you weren't anywhere close to 10 hours. I would also say give your dick a break and stop masturbating for a while. Check this out from a porn star talking about his experienced with priapisms https://www.huffpost.com/entry/keeping- ... _b_5949030

He had 3 episodes of 12 hours and he's recovered. You had 1 episode at 10 hours.

My penis has been working again with pills ever since I realized my blood pressure has been through the roof due to a perpetual panic attack I've been living through and constantly thinking about killing myself. I averaged 158/105 with a pulse of 99. Once I realized that was probably causing the pills not to work since I'm pretty much constantly on the cusp of a stroke or heart attack, I've calmed myself down and they've been working again.

I know hearing "it's in your head" is infuriating when you've exhausted all other possibilities and I hated hearing it. But, for me, it seems to be at least partially true. You may have some damage but it's nothing that can't be overcome with pills and giving yourself a break. You went through something extremely traumatic and it's rendered you bed ridden. Depression like you have right now, in and of itself, causes ED.

But, like I said, the fact you were able to perform without pills for a year is objective proof your dick still works. Maybe try not masturbating for a month and then try pills again. I dunno, it's just so many other men have had worse priapisms that even required surgery to go down and they recovered just fine means it's not over for you, you know?

I hope you get through this, brother. You're not alone. I still worry that pills will suddenly stop working again, but that's now how physiology works. It's either damaged or it's not, the rest is a mental game.
