Another Revision Date Set !!!

Postby Ronn1708 » Mon Feb 22, 2021 9:06 pm

Well I was notified today that my revision is scheduled for March 30th. I have been anxiously waiting for the phone call letting me know the date!!! I have had a lot of surgeries concerning my implants and I am praying this ONE will be the charm. I have a great Doctor (Dr T. Hakky) and operating team and You could not ask to be treated any better than you are at Northside Hospital in Lawrenceville,GA. I also want to give a shout out to Ray Watts** the Coloplast patient advocate and Masonjames here on FT. They have been super in helping me navigate my obstacles through this journey. Also thanks to all the support and help from the FT users!

I would like to encourage all those who have got their implants already not to forget this valuable asset of FrankTalk. I seem to drift away after getting my implant and then coming running back in times of failure. It is in those times I have been in much despair and got so much support and advise here on the forum.

Thanks again to everyone for your support!

**Ray Watts Coloplast Patient Educator and IPP patient 404.693.2685 He is glad to help answer questions and concerns.

Seems like Hakky does a lot of revisions, is there a reason for that?

Yes because he is a great doctor to find after you've had a failure from previous experiences. Failures are part of life with an implant its not if, but when...They don't last forever. He also does a lot of first time implants. I am not sure where he ranks on the number of implants but I know he is high on the list. His reviews from his patients speak for themselves. I have been so thankful for him and his staff.

Could it be that he is good?
Several members have reported that many doctors are not willing to do revisions. So I think his revision ststistic might be viewed in his favor.

Of course, my apologies. I misread. It seemed as though he was doing revisions on his own work but I misread.

Good luck on your revision!
I see that most of dr. Hakky's patients, if not all, get Titan. Does he only do Titan or he can go for AMS if the patient wants it?

I currently have a Titan and that’s what I’m getting placed back in..... I think he does both because he has both AMS & Coloplast models displayed in his office.

I see you have a new implant as of Jan. Hope your recovery is going well!

My recovery has ups and downs. First 2 days after surgery were excellent, then got some pain and swelling. I started cycling in the weekend. Now I am having some pain after each cycling. Swelling also increased with cycling. I am not sure if this is normal during the first days of cycling. If it goes well, I may be able to have sex after a week or 10 days.
