How can this have happened. All I was doing was pumping it up prior to sex. Not good. I can’t wait to talk to product rep. This is unacceptable.

For what it's worth, the area is still sterile until it's reopened by the surgeon, as long as you haven't developed an infection. In theory, the doctor should be able to reseat the cylinder if it's still in good shape and stitch it over again without replacing the cylinder or the entire implant. I'm not sure how he will handle getting it back into the corpus cavernosum again though, unless he pulls it out, attaches a suture thread back into the distal tip and pulls it back into your penis again with a furlow passer as was done originally. The doctor may be able to simply push it back in if everything has been well stretched over the past four months.

Does anyone know if the revision would cost OP.

Maybe this is one of those coincidences like when you buy a new car and you begin to notice them everywhere but... This happened to me after my surgery and I begin seeing similar stories on this website… same thing… Proximal stitches didn’t heal and the left cylinder ends up being about a 2“ x 2“ golf ball in my scrotum and the tip of the implant goes about an inch under my corona “My my my my corona“… anyway, because of my use deli of prednisone and anti-rejection medication, the doctor is not responsible to fix this “for free“… I don’t know of the original posters previous medical history but, if there’s anything in there at all contradictory to this being the doctors fault, he will be responsible without a good lawyer… anyway, I really hope this gets resolved for you… It is certainly not convenient and takes the fun out of the first couple of months… I wish you the best!

A very sleepless night. The entire right side of implant is in my scrotum. Including the back part that’s very stiff. It’s pointed at the end and is poking into the skin of the scrotum. I’m very upset how this could happen. I’m so uncomfortable. Tomorrow I’m going to demand to go into surgery ASAP. I have no idea how to make this right. I don’t want the Dr to just cram this back in. I also hate the idea of starting over. I’m peeing sideways cause my penis pulls to the right with only one side of the implant present.

I have no idea how the financial part of this is going to work. I’m calling AMS tomorrow to vent. It’s so uncomfortable I can’t move. If I hear the surgeon say I’ll try to squeeze you in I’ll snap like twig. The more I think about this the madder I get. There’s no way this should have happened. It just falls out? Really? Anyone have this happen? What did they do about it.

This is what’s confusing me. The implant goes 1/3rd inside the body, how can it simply fall into the scotrum? Another commentator said that the stitches did not heal properly, so I guess this issue happens when the whole thing is still healing.

OP, after the operation did you exert a lot of pressure around your butt area by doing heavy exercises, sitting and getting up a lot, etc? Also OP, you did not mention which model of implant do you have - AMS LGX or AMS CX?
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

LGX. I agree how can this happen. All I was doing was pumping it up prior to sex. Would not pump properly so hot release cause pump was collapsed. Started to attempt to pump again. No erection. I felt something very hard in my scrotum thought omg the tubing is bulging. I felt more and felt what I thought was a collapsed tube was actually the implant from my penis. The realized the stiff hard part was the back side. Again wtf. How can an entire right side come out. Not doing anything strenuous cause I’m sidelined getting cervical neck fusion surgery in three weeks. I’m so uncomfortable in my scrotum I can’t put this off. My penis is leaning way to the right due to the implant on left pushing without resistance. I tried to call my surgeon on call service no return call. I also emailed AMS rep and called left message. I’m so pissed off. My initial surgery was hell. I do t know if surgeon messed up or AMS has an issue. My feeling is that it wasn’t right when installed. My erections were never rock hard. Always pointed straight down never straight out. When feeling down there in the past I noticed a hard spot on side of penis which when pumped up would go away. When deflated would return with sometimes what felt life something purtruding out. I have no idea. Something messed up. Now more surgery. Crap!!!!

Indusvalley, everyone's anatomy is different. the one-third rule is really not cast in stone but rather an average. In my anatomy, I have almost no crus at all. My implant goes literally about 1.2" (3 cm) inside my body, if that. I've got 0.75" (2 cm) of the rear plastic that I can feel at my base. My crus stops right under my pelvis/pubic bone. The average man has a crus that continues in a "V" fashion from the pubic bone outward to near each side of the anus but that is "AVERAGE".

My implant is not 1:2 ratio of inside to outside, otherwise my 5.5" length would mean I had 2.75" inside. Mine is more like 1:4 ratio with four times as much OUTSIDE as there is INSIDE.
