Revision

Postby WhiteCane » Thu Jun 25, 2020 8:54 pm

OK, I found a video that is exactly what Dr. Kramer said is going on with my implant… check YouTube for “revision corporal proximal cylinder replacement“ if you’d like to see what it is… anyway, in the video he mentions that it’s better to get it done sooner than later… last week, I had a surgery completely unrelated to my penis and will be recovering for the next two months basically… this race is the question… If I’m waiting another two months, how much scarring do you think there will be? Do you guys think I should consider the Titan or the CX to maybe try breaking away at the scar tissue right off the bat instead of being disappointed about size furthermore? i’m already a little freaked out that I’m shorter by close to 2 inches… I’ve been dismissing that as this malfunction but, I don’t know how confident I am yet… my LG ex is a quarter inch longer deflated then inflated which worries me but kind of keeps me confident at the same time that this is exactly what is going on… anyway, I’m getting in touch with the new urologist to set things up so I’m good for surgery the second I’m cleared from this one… unfortunately, I can’t afford the $3000 out of pocket again… I hope everyone is doing well! all feedback is appreciated…

Can you give us more details on your situation? What do you have now? and why it failed, etc.
The first advice I can tell you, if you are concerned about size, is to get to one of the top 5 surgeons (Kramer, Christine, Eid, Kapman or Perito) rather than a low volume. I know Karpman and Christine for sure work with Insurance. Not sure about the rest.

Absolutely, I have an 18 cm LGX with 2 cm rear tips… my stretch test put me at 6.751 done by the doctor, myself, and my significant other… basically, everything inflates fine mechanically but, the proximal stitches on the left side apparently the attached. When I inflate, there is about a 2 inch bulge in my scrotum that’s basically just inflated cylinder taking up its space as it gets filled… Another major issue is girth… I’ve never been extremely wide but, I’ve never necessitated a snugger fit condom either… The last time I tried to use a condom was for figuring out what my girth was relatively… It did not fit like a garbage bag LOL… that was even an erection with very little success from Viagra… so, I’m getting it replaced because I’m not confident I was Sized correctly and it definitely is not right that everything is bulging up like that…

Also, my insurance has already said this is paid for if I get it done in network… My original surgeon is not in network… I think I heard some of my accent coming out in the last post so, sorry if any of that is confusing to read… Blind phone/Minor accent are not a good mix LOL

Seems you had an inexperienced surgeon to start with.
I understand the financial burden, but please get a good experienced surgeon this time. I found that the pricing is about the same for all surgeons as most the cost is for the implant and the hospital.
In general: inexperienced surgeons charge about $1,000 for the surgery, while the top guys charge around $2,000 and trust me that is a very well-spent.
The rest of the cost is for the implant: $9 to 10k, hospital $9,000 to 12k, and anesthesia approximately $1,000.
Also, check with AMS to see if they can cover the implant under warranty.

Side note - question: How does a text-to-speech system pick up a Russian accent, or any other for that matter? That is unless you meant the phrasing of your text rather than how the words were actually pronounced...

The unfortunate part is that I did go to one of the best in the country… It just didn’t work out for me despite his amazing reviews and success stories… my insurance picked up all but about 3000 of it… So, I speak English into the phone and sometimes it picks up words that I didn’t say because as I’m speaking them, they don’t sound like the wheel English words… for instance if I say “butter“ in English it might pick it up as “but or“ with the dialect… I have to use this website through a browser so, it makes editing things a little bit harder than if it were in an app like Facebook which is a little bit easier to navigate…

Do people lose length so rapidly?
Try using a VED to maintain length, maybe it will give you mental peace.
28 year old with severe lifelong ED.
Implanted in New Delhi on 26/12/19 with AMS CX (15x12) + 4cm RTE
Post op length 4.5 inches from ~ (5.5 to 6) inches. Disappointed!
Wish to have a revision to LGX some day.

It definitely can… If you watch the video, Dr. Kramer explains it … if scar tissue develops where it isn’t supposed to, it makes it more difficult to revise… if the cylinder is sitting lower than full stretch, the scar tissue is still going to develop around it regardless of where it is…

Is the scar tissue that your referring to, the bio capsule? Being I lost 3 inches from PD, I have regained 2 inches with the cycling. The Titan for me is more length when deflated. When inflated to the max, girth is where all the fluid is going. For me at least.
