It would surprise me if urological surgeons were doing any procedures right now other than the removal of an infected implant. Everything else’s should be on hold.

Even if you ignore the risk to patients and staff of being in the office together and potentially spreading COVID19, the (small) risk of having complications in the office that require admission to a hospital is not worth it. Most hospitals have told all office based surgical practices that their admitting privileges have been put on hold. They can’t spare a hospital bed for someone who had a (rare) complication getting their penile implant.

COVID19 seems tailor made for a lot of the guys on FrankTalk. Older (sorry guys) people with underlying health problems. Many of the health problems that lead to impotence are the same ones that are tied to a higher mortality rate with COVID19. Its not worth it. Everyone who isn’t in an essential job needs to stay home.

Finally, if you do find a surgeon who is willing to operate on you in the midst of a global pandemic, that person is irresponsible and you should think twice before letting them touch you. They are more worried about paying the overhead on their practice and lining their pockets than they are about your health and well-being.
55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

I do not think that kind of surgery is being done with this Coronavirus all over the country and taking up lots of space in the hospitals.

In my hometown in Canada, they cancelled a "kidney transplant" procedure, so I guess the kidney, which was harvested from a car accident victim, is now going to waste and the recipient would have to suffer for years to get another kidney. It just tells you the level of craziness and madness. I do not understand, the whole province has less then 50 people hospitalized, 5 in ICU and they shut down the whole health systems. The hospitals are no way near any capacity. A bunch of morons running our health system.

CBC.ca reports over 11,000 cases today and the numbers are increasing fast. Not expected to peak until May. This is serious. Those ‘morons’ are doing the right thing.

The numbers mean nothing. You need to look at the hospitalization rate. Also, sacrificing the life of someone who depends on dialysis is not right.

I really understand the reasons of cancelling a lot of appointments but for me and a lot of other people here it's frustrating situation. I have pain while getting erections and my penile scarring gets worse by time which can be crucial for the procedure of the implant and the size of it.
