Re: Acoustic wave therapy
By acoustic wave therapy, do you mean low intensity shock wave therapy or is acoustic wave therapy something different than that?
71 years old in 2018; married 49 years. ED since 2001. PD5 inhibitors (Viagra, etc.) worked with increasing dosages until side effects got too bad by 2017. Now using Trimix injections. Delayed ejaculation has been a continuing problem since 2012.
Re: Acoustic wave therapy
I had shock wave therapy 6 times. The effect was minimal and lasted a couple of days. I am on injection and during that time I could have sex once just with pills. I paid 1500 euros for that. In theory the procedure is good but maybe they should use more power during the sessions. Or give the treatment dozens of times.
Don’t spend your money for that.

65 yrs, had venous leak all my life, sildenafil and other pills don't work anymore properly, using Caverject with pills.

Re: Acoustic wave therapy
I had six sessions for a total of $3000.00. AFTER starting the therapy, I was told it takes time, possibly months. Then I was told, if I REALLY want to see results, I would need six more sessions, at an additional cost, of course. I was given a VED and doses of Viagra which I was suppose to take before using the VED daily. This was to wake up the inactive veins. Bottom line, in my case it did not work. Like so many other snake oil treatments, I was encouraged to purchase additional products and sessions for it to really be affective. AND remember, this is not a permanent solution, you will need to start again within 24 months!!!
I recommend caution!!!

63 years old. Implanted 12/04/2018 by Dr. Aaron Lentz at Duke Raleigh Hospital with Coloplast Titan 22 cm. ED for over 30 years. Used Viagra and Cialis, later injections, THEN Gainswave: ineffective.
Re: Acoustic wave therapy
I have had the shockwave therapy on two different occasions. Total of 12 treatments.
At first I thought this was really helping. But the treatments did not sustain any long term benefits. The only thing that got bigger and fuller was the bank account of the clinic! The only hard part was my declining bank account! Proceed with caution! I’m not saying this treatment won’t help possibly someone it just didn’t work for me!
These clinics have figured out that guys will do and try about anything to make their penis work again. Slick marketing videos and consultations offering amazing results and boom it’s time to go to the bank!

Diagnosed venous leak. Going with injections rather than implant for the time being.

Gentlemen,
You don't have to pay a dime for this if you know where to look. At https://clinicaltrials.gov/, there are studies all over the country at universities and medical schools looking for participants at NO CHARGE.
I participated in one at University of Miami in 2019. For me it did not have the desired effect. In fact, maybe it was a bad decision. I was implanted by Dr Kramer in November 2019. Look at the accompanying video and judge for yourself re: LI-SWT (Low Intensity Shock Wave Therapy).
BTW, Dr Kramer was a class act throughout my surgery--always there to answer questions and make "house calls". Good Guy!
