Flight

Postby Magicmike » Sun Sep 29, 2019 9:27 am

I'm from Louisiana and having surgery with Dr Eid. I do have an airport 5 minutes from my house but would have to connect in Atlanta. I can fly out of New Orleans non stop but it's a 2 1/2 hour drive. For all of you that has flown to get an implant dont what should I do. I more concerned about the pain.

It is difficult to tell you which choice is better because we all handle and recover from the surgery differently. For me it would have been better to make the drive for a non-stop flight. That way you are in the privacy of your own car and can stop if you need to. If you are not familiar with the ATL airport, it is huge and your connecting flight may be a long walk down the concourse, as well as a train ride to a different concourse.

Another consideration is dressing very comfortably. You will likely be left partially erect, so an oversized shirt that covers your bulge is important so you won’t draw unwanted attention.

Best wishes.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Good advice I could also stay in NY for a few days then do the nonstop flight
