A couple of questions from a completely blind guy…

Postby WhiteCane » Thu Sep 12, 2019 2:34 pm

Excuse any typos! I’m sorry if I’m posting this incorrectly… So, I’m completely blind… Two years ago, I received simultaneous kidney and pancreas transplant‘s… Complications from the surgeries led to the obvious… I’ve tried pills with little success… There is no way quote for the risk of my thumbs getting obnoxiously hard“ I will try injecting anything into my junk with the blindness… I can’t use a pump or even try that because I have no idea how much pressure is necessary and where I am at… . I visited Dr. Kramer in August to discuss an implant… I told him that my transplants were first in foremost of importance in this situation… he recommended the LG ex because of that… so, a couple of questions… I’m a little bit worried over the rigidity of that particular implant… I’m reading some horror stories and it’s naturally giving me nerves… stretched, I am 6.75 My flaccid girth is a little bit less than four… I’m kind of skinnier build ... anyone around this size have issues with rigidity? I have no idea of my girth erect to be quite honest, I’ve never had a need to measure so I really never did… Also, do things with either Device look relatively human? Honest opinions please I’m not judging… I’m going to be quite happy just to have my sex life back… Size is obviously a little important but not the biggest deal to me… I just don’t want to be too skinny or not rigid enough for fun but at the same time I don’t want to risk my transplants . The doctor was incredible and I want to take his advice on it but the reason I kind of visited him was because his risk of infection And his approval ratings are so Great… I really don’t think there is a lot more risk in getting the Titan? I just think I’m going to be more comfortable with this device as far as functionality is concerned… Any opinions are welcome! Again, I take all opinions seriously and I do not judge… Thank you guys! I’d love to checking this website out Over the last month or so! …

I have a Titan and I'm about 5 weeks out. I believe that with either implant your flaccid state will be more "stretched" than now. The cylinders don't (at least in the beginning) shrink the way your natural penis did/does. At the same time, it does not look unnatural. There are plenty of guys who are "showers" instead of "growers". At first which for me was two weeks ago I was concerned but my husband and others that know about the "retooling" have told me it does not look strange. I work out a fair amount and so far no looks in the gym locker room.

When I saw Kramer at the 4 week mark we talked about the deflated state. I have some pictures posted on this site. It hangs down at about 4:30 instead of straight down 6:00. He said that because the Titan is more rigid in its erect state that it is more rigid in the flaccid state. He said it will loosen up once things get settled in the body. From everything I'm gleaning this is a process/journey, especially the first year. It becomes a new normal. But in exchange for the journey you get your sex life back.

I found Kramer to be very honest about outcomes and expectations. And he is readily available for questions/concerns by email. He replies quickly. During my recovery I kept sending him phone pics anytime I had a concern. Because of a hematoma that had gotten large he had me come in at 2 weeks for a checkup. It was exactly what he thought (a hematoma) and noting to worry about. It is gone now. Because I was healing well he had me start cycling at 2 weeks. I was too sore to use it but it gave me time to get used to the pump which takes some practice.

Kramer gave me the contact info for once of his patients that was at the 4 weeks mark when I first saw him. The guy and I have stayed in contact and he's been a tremendous support (similar to this site). If you see Kramer again you might ask him for a patient contact. Patients, like me, have offered to help other guys through the journey.

I hope that's helpful bud. Getting your sex life back is huge.

I have an AMS LX and it looks normal both flaccid and erect. With the LGX you will actually is shorter in length when flaccid but extends when fully pumped up.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

With my LGX, I lost no length. I used a vacuum device while I waited for clearance for the surgery and to find a surgeon I wanted to entrust myself to.

I think you are not accustomed to gauging things using your other senses yet. This will come in time. In the meantime, I think using a Vacuum Erection Device should be fairly safe as long as you don't overdo it. How to gauge overdoing is tricky, but if you have a friend willing to observe and report, you will soon be able to gauge for yourself. If you get a device with a vacuum gauge, you could take the glass off the gauge and feel the indicator needle with your fingers as long as it is not a digital gauge. That was an attempt at humor.

Two years is not really long enough to lose a lot of length permanently. But the vacuum does keep blood flushing through your tissues and helps keep things elastic.

The AMS devices have a more natural flaccid state and appearance than the Titan. If you cannot see if your penis is prominent (which is more characteristic of the Titan than the AMS products) you might experience a small amount of embarrassment in showing a bulge. AMS would be better for you in that regard.

Stiffness of the Titan is superior to AMS because of the material they are made of. But the stiffness for intercourse is provided almost totally by fluid pressure, so really, the difference between the two manufacturers is more a matter of academic debate that operational function. Said more succinctly: Your partner will neither care nor know the difference once you are pumped up.

Sorry for all your troubles. Happy that you have gotten with Dr. Kramer. He gave me some excellent advice when I was searching for a surgeon.

Good luck

Thank you, lost sheep! That is solid advice “no pun intended“. I appreciate the humor… I will give that a shot . I want to go into this as healthy and ready as possible… I’m already a shower so I will definitely take the advice about the bulge Into consideration .

Lost Sheep is right on the money. Either one will “do the job”. The general consensus here is that the LGX has a more natural look and feel flaccid. As a former grower whose dick pretty much disappeared after my prostatectomy, I love my new flaccid almost as much as I love my new erect.

Thank you, radio radio… The word prostatectomy sends chills through my spine… scares me more than the news of dialysis or going blind ever has ... so glad everything is good now!

Its not fun, but it beats dying of prostate cancer, which I understand is pretty nasty once it spreads to other parts. I hope you never have to deal with it.
