I had been using a vacuum device more to prevent atrophy than to add length. About 5x/wk for a few months prior to the implant. The vacuum seemed to add about 1/4", but that's more likely due to it just sucking everything out, as opposed to the penis just naturally resting on the inside.

For more than a year while I sought out authorization and selected a surgeon.

Regained some of the little that I was beginning to lose.

60 days is the recommended minimum, twice daily.

I used a VED for about 3 months prior to implant. I'd had many years of atrophy, and I believe it was a major factor in my not losing any length. My doctor recommended 4 times/day for at least 2 months. 20 minutes each session.

I marked the ved tube with a permanent marker when I started and I gained over an inch and a quarter inside the tube. Final implant size was not as long as I was in the ved, which is typical from what I've read here, but the stretching allowed a longer implant to be used. Very happy with the result.

I did before and have read it is now recommended after by B.S. I have also tried it after and I can see how it might help maximize size. Research it.

I'm scheduled for implant in September and I told my doctor I'd been pumping daily 1-2 times a day since I was given the go ahead after my robotic prostate procedure in Aug 2017. He said that's exactly what I should be doing leading up to this procedure.

I didn't use a VED at all, and lost no length after surgery.

VED therapy before and after and strong recommendation for hydro type of VED!!!

I used a hydro pump pre-op, about twice a week, and, at three months post-op, started using it again about 1-2 times a week.
I cannot recommend enough the hydro style pump versus the air vacuum pump. I have used both. With the air pump, you can easily warp or disfigure the skin as it can become quite loose. It eventually recovers but not a pretty site when it happens. This never happens with the hydro pump as you cannot pump out the water to the point of damage.
I feel the 1-2 times a week pumping, post-op, will help against natural shrinkage. I can actually inflate fully, then VED pump for a few minutes, and then inflate a squeeze or two more.
I know the hydro pumps are more expensive but avoiding the stretched, loose skin and possible permanent damage is so worth it, IMO.
Don't use VED with the expectation of having a penis longer than you had at your longest, naturally, but I feel it could be good toward maintaining your best post-op.
good luck!
