My implant cylinders are not the same length?

Postby Toronto67 » Sat Aug 03, 2019 12:56 am

Hi all,

First of all I want to thank everyone on this forum, you have been very helpful during my journey.

After a radical prostatectomy done on July 2018 I was left impotent, I tried all the different pills available and nothing worked, the next step was to try the injections but I was not too excited about them so I decided to get a 3 piece implant.
My surgery was done on July 2 2019, pain has been manageable and finally inflammation is going down. The implant has not been activated yet, this will be done next week when I visit my doctor.

While touching my gland today I noticed the tips of my two cylinders are not the same length, have any of you experience the same issue? Is this a problem?

I only had to wait 2 weeks before activating. As long as its straight when inflated there should be no problem. I have same implant and deflated it curves to the left but inflated it is straight out.

I had the same issue. I notice my right tip was lower. Got all worked up about it. At 2 weeks went for first appt.

I had a curve to left so left tip will be higher until I start cycling. Over time curve will go away and tips align. It was slow go but when I first fully inflated at week 3 I had a slight left curve. Right tip was still lower. It got better and better over time.

At 5 months the right tip is still just a bit below left but only I could tell it. Both are well into glans fully pumped. I still have the slightest left leaning curve. But my wife cannot tell it. I am straighter now than I was before ed and peyronies showed up.

Key is pumping up and continuing to do so.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

Probably too soon to evaluate length based just on feel, wait until a few weeks after you are activated and cycling.

Another possibility is the surgeon installed a different length cylinder on each side to fit your anatomy or correct peyronies. I have a 20cm on one side and 21cm on the other. You can get that info from the surgical report.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I feel better now, I will check with my Doctor next week and hopefully there is nothing to worry about it.

This is a very good point, I will ask for my surgery report.

For six months ,my left tube was 1/4 inch shorter than the right tube, WHEN NOT PUMPED. Pump them up and they are exactly the same length and well into the glans.

Mine are the same way. Even when fully inflated the right cylinder is 1/4" shorter than the right. It's not that big of a deal as it still works. It's just noticeable when getting oral which my wife rarely does so I'm good.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.
