Couldn’t inject
Couldn’t inject
Sometimes when I insert the needle I can’t depress the plunger. Why does this happen and is it safe to reinsert and try again?
75 years old. Was on Viagra and then Cialis but got fed up with the side effects. Switched to Tri-Mix 3 years ago but had increasingly reduce effect. Finally implanted 1/19/2023. Always looking for advice. Live in Illinois.

Yeah, it happens... It's usually when you hit a wrong spot.
What you can do is try to pull the needle out a bit and re-plunge it a little bit deeper, or turn it around itself. If all that fails, you can completely remove it and change location, just make sure you clean the needle and the new injection spot with an alcohol pad... And try not to do that too often, to avoid repeated punctures.

40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is, at best, based on my own experiences and at worst, hallucinations or delusions. Nothing I post should be misconstrued as medical advice. It's not. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice and instructions.

If the position and angle looks correct 1st try withdrawing the plunger a smidge as sometimes the plunger can get a little stiff with the rubber against the inside of the syringe tube. Then try pressing the plunger again (Not something you can try with an Edex cartridge). Next try pushing the syringe needle in deeper and then try gently pushing the plunger in and continue trying the plunger as you slowly pull the needle back out a bit. I think what happens in that case is you initially have trouble piercing the tunica and it just depresses it with the needle tip. You punch through by going deeper but then end up too deep but then you find the sweet spot as you withdraw back out to the correct depth.
I'm not sure I explained that very well, sorry.

Re: Couldn’t inject
Sometimes for me the plunger gets "stiff" and takes a bit of force to get it moving, and once moving it goes easily. Before I use a needle I exercise the plunger a bit by extending it up and down several times and that seems to help for me.
Side note... When Im injecting if I "feel" the medicine go in I know Im in a wrong spot and stop. When Im in the right spot, I dont feel any liquids being injected (Keep in mind I only inject 0.05ml of a super strong strength)
