Best measuring tool yet

Postby DougAnd » Wed Jan 16, 2019 9:43 am

I always used a ruler when I'd take a measurement of progress. But at work when I did a quick cycle while in the bathroom could not easily use it so I switched to a 12 ft tape. Well Lostsheep said something that started me thinking. The ruler is very hard to use for an exact measurement. My 2" fat pad makes it both difficult and painful. The tape is much better and more accurate but still painful. This morning I found an old pencil with a ruined hard eraser. Took my measuring tape made a few red and black makes and tried it. Wow! What a difference. Very easy very accurate and no pain at all. I doubt that I will use it at work but at home, oh yeah. Try it you'll like it.

Thanks for the acknowledgement, DougAnd.

I use a white, woven string on which I sewed markers of colored thread every inch. The end I hold against my pubic bone is clamped in forceps which allows me to press hard against the bone while the colored thread markers show length. That gives length to the nearest inch with eyeball estimation of fractions (or I could add more markers)

To measure girth, I wrap around my penis, mid-shaft, four times, count the inches and divide by four. That tells my girth to the nearest 1/4".

I could have just as easily used a regular cloth measuring tape (like tailors use) held firmly against my pubic bone at (say) the 2" mark and then seen the length (minus the 2").

The possibilities are endless
